This is our first seven day (we cruised twice on the four day Wonder), what clothing do I need for dining room? Special parties, etc. Thanks.

You will have one very formal evening and one a little less formal. Some people will be in tuxes and academy award type dresses. Most will be wearing black suit and tie's and cocktail lenghth dresses or less dressy gowns, and even a few will be wearing attire that some would consider casual. DCL will not turn anyone away at the dining room - but, you may feel out of place if dresses too casually.

You will also have one 'Island Night' themed dinner where you can be decked in your favorite island attire.

Animators Palate and Palo's requests that men wear a jacket - but, you will see some people dressed more on the casual side and others dressed in their formal best. Other nights on the trip are designated as 'resort casual'

DCL requests no shorts or jeans in any of their dining rooms - even during the resort casual nights.

You can view the menu's for the rotation dining as well as the themed dining evenings at:

Keep in mind that formal has a very wide definition, but generally includes a jacket, nice shirt and nice slacks/pants for men, and a nice dress for women. You will see a wide variety. I like to wear a tux, because the family likes to dress up for things like this. People showing up in resort casual clothing for the formal dinner may feel somewhat out of place. Palos also requests that men wear a jacket and women a dress or pantsuit. They also request no shorts, t-shirts and jeans at evening dining.
