ok, so there is 5 taylors going from the 27th - jan 1st. I saw that the 27th it is going to be mid 60's. Anyone been there this week or knows what to expect. I have kids 6, 4 and 17m. So I was wanting them to wear cute little outfits. Is it super cold at night and need turtlenecks and during the day short sleeve? Is it cold enough for jeans in the day.
some weather tips would be helpful

We just returned on Sunday and I had similar problems when trying to figure out what to pack. I haven't looked at the weather for next week, but when we were there it was low's in the mid 40's and high's in the mid 60's. I packed entirely too much stuff. All that was really needed during the day was a light jacket/hoodie and sometimes not even that. If you were in the sun it seemed like you needed to take off the jacket but once you got into the shade it was needed again. We were there at the latest at 10:30 pm and I wore a zip up fleece hoodie, DH wore the same, DS 3 also wore a hoodie and DS <1 wore a medium weight jacket with a hat and was covered with a blanket.

Don't do what I did and take short sleeves, long sleeves, sweatshirts, capri's and long pants...you won't use it all. Of course we are from Utah so we aren't afraid of a little cold weather.

Have fun and good luck packing! (I'm trying to unpack it all now and it stinks.)

thank you sooooo much, for a while there I thought no one would answer me! ok, I will just pack each one a long sleeve in case and a blanket for the baby. I was going to get turtlenecks, but we probably won't need that huh! I am so afraid to pack wayyyy too much stuff.. it stinks to lug it home. luckily we are driving so that is not sooo bad. We got some disney jackets from the disney store a while back and we will back those. I am only worried about being out at midnight for New Years eve. But we will pack little hats if they need it!

My mom and DSis are from Phoenix. They wore pants during the day and had jackets and long sleeves at night. I would pack a sweatshirt for night too. We did that for our kids. I just packed one and they wore it every night. I figured no one would know because it would be under their jacket. My kids didn't need jackets though. Our highs were in the 40's and my kids were playing outside in it. But for your kids I would pack it just to be safe.

We also left this past Sunday and had the same experience as CandCMommy. I'm pretty warm natured and I almost always wear shorts during the day with temps in the 60's but was glad I had jeans and ended up wearing them every day after getting a little chilled in the shade on our first day. We stayed until nearly midnight on Friday and Saturday nights and I wore a regular coat and also gloves. Since my camera never leaves me I can't always put both hands in my pockets. My 2 youngest definitely needed their hoods but I never felt the need to cover my head.

Just keep in mind that you don't generate much heat when standing around in lines, waiting for parades, fireworks, etc. This was our first "cold weather" trip and thoroughly enjoyed it compared to the heat of the summer. It was very refreshing. Have a great trip!!

Thank you both of you. I will definetly bring our gloves JIC. I got some princess onesfrom the disney store and some princess scarves. We will pack a mini bag and put it in the stroller for the baby. Never thought about standing still in lines. then there is splash mountain, will ahve to do that in the morning so there is less cold!
Thank you again everyone. This is a surprise trip from santa so I am packing in secret, it is not easy to do with nosey kids!

Oh a surprise trip, eh? We did this very thing last week as well. We packed their things in secrecy the night before and also while they were in school the day we were leaving. When they got home we already had all our luggage loaded up and we told them we were going to look at Christmas lights and to go out to eat. They all 3 fell asleep after we left the house and woke up when we were parking at the airport (45 min drive). We still didn't say anything about DL but they noticed LAX on the boarding passes. The limo driver almost spilled the beans while we were waiting on our luggage at baggage claim. But they didn't completely know until we were cruising down Disney Way. I'm not good at keeping secrets but this was a lot of fun! Have fun with your surprise!:thumbsup2

We were just there a few days ago and the days were nice. 60 to 65 during the day and evenings were cool. I mostly wore long sleeve t-shirts during the day and a coat on mornings and evenings and I was fine. My daughter that is 3.5 wore long sleeve along with a light coat during the day and an extra layer in the mornings and evenings. All and all the weather was nice and we couldnt complain at all about it.

We have been expecting the weather to be cold only to have to buy t-shirts to wear during the day! My new plan is to take t-shirts and a jacket. If it gets colder I will just buy a sweatshirt for a souvineer!

WOW! What a great Christmas gift complete with Santa. That is VERY cool!
Have a great time! (wish I were stowing away in your luggage!)
