OK...I've read the weather report, mid 80's and low of high 60's. I am from Minnesota (brrrrrr). Should I bother packing any pants or long sleeved shirts? I just hate to take all the luggage. I'm thinking we could live in shorts the whole time :confused3

PLEASE let me know what you think....still plenty of time to throw in some pants!

If the temps sound warm to you then leave the pants at home! Even as a Floridian I probably would only bring a sweat jacket for at night(low 60's are chilly to me!).

I would pack a light pair of pants, a light jacket and a light sweater. They won't take up much space and will keep you from spending a lot of time shopping for them if it gets cool at night. Hopefully you will never need them but it can get cool at night and if you are by the water and it is windy, well, you'll be glad you have them. Only problem I have is when I realize I need them I am usually already in the park so I have to go buy one anyway.

The weather looks like it is going to be beautiful starting Saturday! I wish you good weather but you'll have a great time no matter what is going on.

You can always just buy a souvineer sweatshirt if you get chilly. That way you don't waste your luggage space if its hot and if it does get cold then you get a souvineer shirt :)

AmyM - Hi fellow Minnesotan! I've been to Disney 3 times over MEA and have never worn a pair of long pants. I did take a zip-up sweatshirt and may have used it once. I do always pack a pair of capris to wear out for dinner at a resort, though. And I usually wear capris on the plane so I always have those as a back-up! Have fun - I just returned last week and it was great!

That's what I do, wear the long pants for the trip, along with a sweatshirt and/ or jacket, so I'm wearing the heaviest and space-consuming clothing and packing the lighter. I do that with all my kids, too. for the kids, I also have them wear their zip-off pants. They love zipping off the legs at the airport!

We are going next week and we will bring one pair of long pants and a light jacket. It can get cool at night and sometimes is cool first thing in the morning. As others have said, if you are near the water and it is windy it can be cool. On my last trip I ended up buying a sweatshirt (no big deal). This year I am going to wear shorts and a jersey covered by a nylon jogging suit down. I will take the jogging suit off and put it in my carry on when we arrive, and I will be set for an afternoon in the parks.
Have a great trip.

Ditto for us. We fly on Sunday at it looks hot hot hot

We just got back (October 1-6) and it was HOT and HUMID! We changed clothes each day - we'd change out of our park gear into new clothes for evening. I did shorts and t-shirts during the day, skirts and short-sleeved tops at night.

We went the last week of October 2 years ago, and I wore shorts and tshirts all week. I think I wore jeans one night and capris another night. I remember it being warm enough for us to go swimming at the timeshare at night. We are going again the last week of October this year, and I plan on packing shorts, tshirts, some tank tops, a pair of jeans, a pair of capris, and maybe a light jacket.

Hello from a fellow Midwest girl who just returned from a sweltering 10 day trip!

I brought a pair of pants and a sweater. I always bring a pair nicer pants that will look nice on an evening out and a light sweater in case the air conditioning becomes too chilly (at least for on the plane) I ended up using both things and they didn't take up that much extra luggage space.

I'm leaving a week from Friday and unless there's a drastic change in the weather, I'm packing shorts and short sleeves...

I'm usually cold on the plane, so I always have a sweatshirt and pants for that. I will not be bothering to pack any more cold weather gear than that

We are leaving Saturday. I have decided to bring one pair of pants, one long sleeved tshirt and one sweatshirt. I figure I can wear them all more than once if I need to.

I'm from Minnesota too, and I'm leaving Saturday. All I have packed, is tanks, t-shirts and shorts. We will wear shorts and a sweatshirt for the plane, but we are not packing any pants. We were there last year during MEA week as well, and it was hot, no jeans required!

When do you leave, will we be there at the same time?

I grew up in Duluth and that seems like summer weather for there. I think the only warm clothes you will have to worry about are what you are going to fly home in. Even now that I live in the Kansas City area I think I would only pack summer clothing.

Erika,

It looks like you own at BWV...so do we :flower:

We leave Sunday and are at the Poly Sunday the 16th thru the 20th, then we go to to BWV from the 20th thru th 25th. I can't wait :cool1: We have DD12 and DS10 and their teachers are awesome. Getting almost everything done before we go. Maybe we'll see you there :)

Amy
