I was wondering if DLRP closes any attractions, parades or shows due to weather such as rain, extreme cold or wind? Are there some attractions that are seasonal and are only opened in the summer?
In the past the Storybook ride, Casey Jones and Autopia are rides which have had seasonal closures, last year however, they were all open both in March and November when we visited, whether that's a temporary move for the 15th Anniversary or a permanent change I don't know.
I can't think of any others apart from the tethered balloon in the village which is dependent on weather conditions.
When we were there last summer, Fantillusion (the night-time parade) was cancelled one evening but the weather was exceptionally bad, it is rare for this to happen.
I've been extremely unlucky with the Storybook ride and Casey Junior - they have been closed every time we've been to DLRP (Feb, October and November 2007).

Snap! We have always gone in Jan/Feb time and they are always closed. We have never been on Autopia either. But thats the price you pay to go at quiet times i suppose.
When we went last week Casey was open but Storybook rides was open 1 day and closed another (didnt check on the first day). Strangely enough the day it was open was the day it had rained earlier on in the day but the day it was closed it was fine. Unless it was open each day but only for a short time of course
can anybody tell me if there are likely to be lots of closures in January as at the momment the only scheduled closure is for 'its a small world'
are we likely tobe dissapointed?

I recently saw a few photos of Lake Disney when it has froze. When this happens, does the Rivers of the Far West in Frontierland freeze as well and do they close the paddle steamer?
I was there 2 weeks ago when Lake Disney was frozen, but it was only very thin surface ice. The paddle boats were running (and so were the keel boats) but they were out breaking the ice first, so things may open a bit later than normal. The ice was floating around in small chunks in the water as we went round on the keel boats - brrrr
Unfortunately the Storybok boats weren't running because their water was frozen.
