Closing Docs

Has anyone waited longer than 30 days? We are at 32 days and still haven’t received anything. We called our broker and they told us Disney has been slow. I have seen people pass ROFR after us and they have gotten their closing docs already. I know they say it’s a 30 day process but was just hoping to get them earlier since we’re trying to book for September. Just wondering if we are not alone in waiting this long .

I paseed Rofr on 5/6, and just got closing docs yesterday. I could easily see it taking longer. I think it depends on how fast the title company started Estoppel. Keep the faith.

We got ours around 35 days - there had been a hold up w the seller getting into to our title company.

I don't know that you're going to be able to find much of anything for September - the whole fall is booked pretty solid.

Ouch that's long !! nice to know we are not alone though . As for September we are just hoping for the best . We have 68 banked points that have to be used and if we have to do a few different spots that could be fun as well ! we do have a paid trip with free dining if all else fails ..

Congrats. Make sure to check them over. Ours had errors, and we need to wait another week to fix them.

Can anyone tell me how long estoppel has been taking, on average? We are 16 days in and are leaving in 11 days for WDW and won't be home until July 4 or 5. Is it possible we could hear before we leave on the 23rd?

I need a memory refresher. When it gets through estoppel that's when you get closing documents that are signed and returned with final payment. Correct? Then it goes to be recorded with the county clerk's office and then you wait another million years for Disney to put them into your account.

I am fortunate that I don't have to wait for Disney to have to create an account and don't need to use/bank the points by a certain time or lose them but this process is beyond frustrating.

It took us 35 days to receive our closing docs :/ .I have seen people post thought that they are receiving their closing docs in the 21-27 day range .Good luck ! and enjoy your trip

Thanks for the reply. I just got off the phone with the broker's office and she said that we may well hear something this week because they (??) have been pushing things through in 3 weeks and under. I didn't tell her about all the long delays I have been reading about here . Anyway, she said she would call the attorney handling estoppel/closing and let them know of our plans and try to push things along.

I know we will enjoy our trip better if I don't feel rushed to get home to finish this up.

We closed on May 27 and receive our closing documents and new DVC membership number today.

We passed ROFR on 6/2 and just got an email with our closing docs today.

Took me close to 40 days to receive them thru the time share store. They said Disney was backed up on estoppel. (We passed rofr apr 23rd and didnt get docs til early June.)
But... You see a ton of people here getting them in 20 days so I don't know. Doesn't seem like there's any real reason why some take longer than others but they do
