Closest site to Wilderness Lodge

My parents will be camping in their RV, and we will be staying in the Villas at the Lodge. I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a loop or site that would be convenient for both parties involved. We hoped we could walk over to each others places and visit, or leave for the parks together. Thank- you for any information!

the 100, 400 and 700 loops will be the closest, both resorts have direct boat transportation to the magic kingdom.

There are also busses and boats that connect the 2 resorts.

Hmmmm. You do undestand that the Wilderness Lodge is not part of Fort Wilderness, right? WL is a separate resort, and is nearly a mile from the nearest camping loops. There is a paved hike/bike path between WL and Settlement Depot in FW. And there are the buses and boats already mentioned.

Yes, I do realize that the Lodge and the campground are seperate. We were there in February and bought into the vacation club. While we were on our tour, the guide told us that it was only about a 10 minute walk to the petting zoo and other activities at the campground. We did not walk from the lodge to the campground, so I was wondering how true the 10 minute walk was. I was also wondering if there we campsites that would be closer to the lodge than the main hub of the campground. We will be on vacation and love to go for walks, so this should not be a problem. Anyone out there actually walked from the Lodge to the campground? Was it nice? Thanks for any extra information!

We did a slow bike ride, in about 10 minutes.
It was faster than if we would have walked.
The path is great though. We saw some deer.
Lots of people were using the path, but it was
still very quiet, and pleasent

10 minutes seems to be about right, we have walked it and I think it may have been a little more - mainly because the legs on the 2 year old (Although she did get to ride in the stroller part of the way) but insisted on walking to.

It was pleasant walk
