closest place to drop off rental car

I am renting a car and driving from St. Petes area and coming to Universal and WDW. I am looking for the closest drop off point for both of these places. I am not from the US and have never rented a car, so trying to book online when you have no clue where to best drop vehicle is quite hard. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

It would depend on which company you rent from. National and Alamo have locations on WDW property. One at the Swan Dolphin Resort and the Car care center

Try to use National and drop off at the Dolphin it is so easy and convenient. Just return to the valet and they will hand you the final paperwork and you do nothing more.

I used the Car Car Center in December '14. I had rented a car to drive from MCO to Cocoa/Cape Canveral for the Space Coast Marathon weekend. I drove to WDW after the race and dropped of the car. It was crazy easy and convenient and they dropped me off at my hotel (All Star Sports). Took all of 10 minutes to check in and get on my way (and they were busy).

Where are you staying? Are you going to want the car to get between Uni and WDW? There are tons of places to drop a rental car, but what's close to Universal isn't close to WDW and vice versa. What hotel are you staying at, and if you're staying at both, where will you be when you want to get rid of the car?
