Trying to figure out which would be the closest off property breakfast to Villas at Wilderness Lodge?

Grand Floridian Cafe?
Boma at AKL?
Kona at Poly?
Captains Grille YC or Cape May Buffet at BC?

Thanks much! Looking to do 1 relatively close off property breakfast to Wilderness Lodge...

Thanks as always!:cool1::cool1:

I suggest Cape may... if you would like a character experience. Food and atmosphere is great and it's relaxed compared to other Character Breakfasts. It's also a short walk to Epcot too.

I'd actually say Whispering Canyon Cafe. They do a breakfast scramble that I've heard great things about. You have to want an all-american eggs and bacon breakfast.

Other than that, O'Hana has a great character breakfast.

Whispering Canyon is good for breakfast? Assume it is not a breakfast buffet, but order off regular menu at table??????

Thanks!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Breakfast Menu at Whispering Canyon looks good....

Anyone else have any opinions on Breakfast at Whispering Canyon?

Thanks Much!:cool1::cool1:

Some people have said the breakfast at Trail's End buffet is good. It is a nice walk through the woods from VWL according to a family member or you can take a boat I believe. I have enjoyed the Kona breakfast selections.

Now that's a long walk. I prefer the boat from WL/VWL to FW.

The Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe is very good.

The new breakfast buffet at The Wave (at the Contemporary) is getting some good reviews. It is only a short boat ride away from VWL. You can also order off the menu.

We had breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe a few weeks ago and all tried the skillet. I thought it was very good and I'm not usually fond of scrambled eggs or biscuits and gravy (I tend to order eggs over easy & toast.) But we had such an early dinner the night before that we all woke up starving and wanted a big hearty breakfast - that skillet hit the spot. Was nice to have some variety for breakfast without having to go to a buffet (I do prefer being waited on!) It doesn't show it on the menu, but our skillet definitely included Mickey waffles too.

I've had breakfast several times at Kona as well and it's also good. But you can't beat walking to breakfast at WCC if you're staying at VWL.

Those mentioned would all be ON property.

When we stayed at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, we went either to IHOP or Denny's on Apopka Vineland Rd., it's only about 6 min. via Vista Blvd and County Rd 535.

The one day we were a bit late and chose to have breakfast at Roaring Fork we paid almost twice than what we did off property the other days and it wasn't even very good.

Next time, it will be off property breakfasts all the way again :-)

It is right at a mile to walk to FW, but it might be worthwhile for those wanting to relax or get some exercise. ;) Kona is nearby at the Poly and just beyond that resort is GF with 1900 PF. For sheer convenience, however, it's tough to beat WCC.

for the last 3 trips to WDW we make sure to add Whispering canyon for breakfast....last year my DD and dad did the 8:30 am hourseback riding then we went to Whispering canyon after they got done:) IT was a great day! We like the food and I am sure you'll have a good time!
We also like 1900 park fare and Ohana's:)

We LOVE Whispering Canyon!!! :yay: Go for it! :thumbsup2 Certainly not a relaxing breakfast, but if you want that, Trail's End is never crowded and the Grand Floridian Cafe is beautiful and peaceful. :cloud9:

I am absolutely in love with the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes from Kona Cafe at the Poly! I have to eat there at least twice a trip!

Whispering Canyon - good food, fun activities and environment..
Cape May - Great character interaction, and easy if going to EPcot or DHS.
Kona -- Tonga Toast, yum! I think its less expensive than other choices too.

I do not suggest Chef Mickey's!
