Closest Family Beach with Accomodations to DL?

Hello All ~ My family is starting to plan our DL trip. We would love to spend a few days at a beach on the ocean. What is the closest family beach with great accomodations to DL? Blessings, Sandra

I'd say Huntington Beach - look for a hotel near Main Street on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). This would put you near the pier (Ruby's Diner at the end of the pier), and Sugar Shack (diner on Main St with great breakfast).
