I didn't know YC had no counter service-found out on the refillable mug thread! We are staying for 4 days in August, was just wondering where the closest CS is to the YC? Looking for a quick breakfast (we need Mickey Waffles on one day!), but not TS. Is there something at BW? Thanks for the info.

There really is no good CS place in the Epcot resort area ( one of the only drawbacks). There is The Marketplace at the BC ( no waffles though) and over at the BW there is the bakery. Thats about it

My DS5 nearly had a tantrum when we told him he couldn't have a Mickey waffle for breakfast when we stayed last Nov at the BWI. We had to order from room service!

I've written to WDW GS many times about the lack of CS options in that area. They really really STINK!

There are no Mickey waffles to be found anywhere over there!

The closest place is CBR's food court, you'd need a car or multiple bus transfers to get there.

If you wait til Epcot is open, the Sunshine Season Food Fair in the Land Pavillion is open for breakfast and is CS...and easily walkable from YC through IG, but I don't know what kind of breakfast fare they have.

The OP wanted to know the closest CS for Mickey Waffles, they're not available at Sunshne Season's. The closest CS location to YC where they serve them is CBR.

Edited to add: I know the OP said she's looking for CS for Mickey waffle options, but they do serve them at Captain's Grill at the YC, they are slightly more expensive at Captain's Grill, but if a taxi or multiple bus transfers is needed to get to CBR, well worth the difference in price.

We are staying at PC for 4 days before we move to YC, so we will have to get our Mickey waffles there, I guess! This will definitely change my planning-I had no idea there was no counter service over there! I guess SAB will make up for that little inconvenience.

Why do you think there is no CS? It really doesn't matter that much, it's just curious to me.

Thanks for the info!

The deluxe resorts don't offer as great a selection as the mods and values because there are table service options as well as room service.

The Beachclub Marketplace is CS but doesn't offer waffles. Besides bakery options, fresh fruit and prepackaged things, they offer a great yogurt and berry parfait and good cheese and egg croissants. At lunch Hurricane Hannah's is another option but that won't help you.

The bar off the YC Galley serves a continental breakfast but no waffles.

Swan/Dolphin has options too.

French Toast, no Mickey Waffles over there either :sad2:

I have no clue but it has stopped us from staying over there. My kid only eats waffles, pancakes or french toast. :sad2:

.

True, but the MK deluxe resorts all offer breakfast platters, pancakes, french toast and MICKEY WAFFLES! :yay:

Just makes no sense why they can't do the same over in the Epcot resort area?

The only CS in the Epcot resort area that serve breakfast are the Boardwalk Bakery and the Beach Club Marketplace. Neither serves Mickey waffles. The lounges in the Boardwalk and Yacht Club serve a continental breakfast. Again, no waffles.
