We will be flying into FLL this summer for our Everglades/Keys vacation. I thought it would be nice to go from the airport to the beach and find a place for lunch along the beach. What area on the oceanfront would be the easiest to reach from the airport and also to drive to Florida City when we are done?

The closest beach would be Dania Beach. If you head South on US-1/N. Federal Hwy, you take an immediate left onto A1A to get to Dania Beach. Watch out, there are sea turtles nesting on Dania Beach. A1A will bend to the right, and if you keep heading South on A1A, you'll see Le Tub Saloon on your right hand side. They have amazing (HUGE) burgers, and you can sit outside on the deck next to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Sticking close to A1A is your best bet, since it runs North & South, so you'll always be along the ocean. Hollywood Beach is pretty, but gets packed with families. And Haulover Beach is a "clothing optional" beach, so if that's your thing, then by all means, forgo the tanlines!

Le Tub......Amazing!!!!!

My sister used to live in Hollywood. They have a very nice long "beach walk" with lots of shops, restaurants, and such along the way.

Le Tub......Amazing!!!!!

I 2nd Le Tub! My bff and her family live in Ft. Lauderdale. I go every March to visit and they take me EVERYWHERE! Quarterdeck on Dania Pier is fabulous as well. Le Tub is on the Intercoastal and is so darn cute (and you MUST have a rum runner if you go there!) Quarterdeck is on the ocean. You can't go wrong either way!

Both place mentioned look great! I will keep these in mind. I think we will stay away from the "clothing optional" beach! Yikes! LOL!
