Closest airport to VB???

We would fly out of Baltimore-anyone from this area know which airport is closest to Vero Beach? Thanks!

I would probably say Melbourne. I think it is about 30 minutes from Vero. I used to live in Sebastian, which is down the road from Vero, and would always fly in and out from Melbourne. Have a great time!!

If you can't get a decent flight/price into Melbourne, then Orlando and West Palm are both between 2-3 hours away

For direct flights from BWI, you are probably looking at PBI (West Palm) or MCO (Orlando). Melbourne is definately the closest, but it's a small airport, and there are no direct flights there from BWI. There is tons of direct service from BWI to MCO, and Southwest flies BWI to PBI.

MCO and PBI are about equidistant from Disney's Vero Beach resort, tho PBI is a much easier ride, being a straight shot down I-95 (PBI now has its own offramp from 95). MCO takes only a little longer, and there's more competition there, so you're likely to get better prices.

We live in Vero Beach and use the airports a lot.

As pumpkinboy stated above, you will get the best prices and non-stops flying into MCO(Orlando) airport. It is around 90 miles to the DVC resort from Orlando airport(MCO). It is mostly all freeway (528 to I-95 South to exit 156). It will take you about an hour and 30 minutes.

PBI(West Palm Beach) airport is about the same distance but they don't have as good of a selection and non-stop flights for Southwest.
