Welcome to our swap! Please check that your dates are available. If they are you know what to do. If for some reason after you post, you either decide to not participate, or find another swap, please be courteous and mindful of others and either PM me, or post that you are no longer interested. It will help tremendously.


This is our fridge:
Walmart

NOW... The important stuff.

What you need/PLEASE bring with you:

• sheet of paper
• marker
• tape
• lysol wipes or something similar
• duct tape in case box needs repair

What you need to get to the previous swapper and the one after you:

• Name
• Arrival Date
• Phone Number
• Reservation #

What to do!
When you recieve the fridge from luggage services or your previous swapper, please dont fold the box as it will be needed for awhile.

Use the fridge, at the end, please remove your items, (DONT LEAVE ANYTHING PERISHABLE!)

Leave the door ajar to dry after you wipe it down. Place it back in it box, tape it up, put the next swappers info on it. (name, res #, arrival date)

TAKE IT to luggage services. DO NOT leave it in the room for luggage services.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a claim ticket! That way we have proof that they have it.


If anything on the fridge is broken, please notify me as soon as possible so that I might be able to ask the next swapper to try to bring something to repair it.

PLEASE BE ADULTS AND GET THE INFO FROM THE PREVIOUS AND NEXT SWAPPER YOURSELF!!!

Hi ! I used the fridge this week and the box is in very bad shape. I tried to purchase a box that would fit the fridge but the boxes were too small. I bought HOT PINK duct tape and taped it together. I also put a PINK X in duct tape on all the sides of the box so it will be much easier to locate at luggage services. If they can't find the fridge ask them to look for the fridge box with the PINK X on each side. I would like to request August 15-25,2010. Hope everyone enjoys the swap!

I've never done a swap before and I am really excited! Should I make the contacts a week or so before the person before me goes on their trip in case any last minute changes are made? Also, should we all use the pink duct tape to make identification easier and if I have any left over, can I just leave the roll in the fridge for the next person?

Once the dates around you fill in you can go ahead and exchange contact information. You'll need to keep an eye on the thread until you leave to make sure there haven't been any changes made that will affect you.

The pink duct tape was placed on the box by one of our previous swappers to make it easier to idenify in luggage services. There have been issues with them not being able to find fridges because they aren't looking very well or with them giving the wrong fridge out to the wrong swap again because they're not looking. The tape just makes our box easier to identify if they come back saying they can't find it.

Just moved our reservation yesterday from a family suite to POP and saved $750 Now looking for a fridge. We arrive on 1/1 and leave on 1/9 but can drop off on 1/8. Is it still available and is it just the fridge or is there a coffe pot and toaster? Thanks, Denise

I've added you to the list. You'll need to exchange information with the person after you. The person before has already returned home. You'll need to pick up the fridge based on the arrangements that the person after you had made using their name.

Can anyone post a picture of the fridge and the box? If there isn't anyone that has one can the next user take one of each? I'd like to post them at the top of this tread to aid swappers in finding the fridge in luggage services.

I got a PM saying the fridge is missing...this has happened all to often lately. Ask luggage services if you can go back with them. You're looking for a black GE fridge in the manufacturers box. The box has been repaired/strengthened with hot pink duct tape. There were X's placed on the sides of the box using the tape. My guess is that fridge is back there they just aren't looking for it. For furture swappers taking a print out of the fridge/box with you may be a good idea.

Please update this thread letting us know if the fridge has been found or is still lost.
