Closed yesterday! What are the chances points will be loaded by 10/31?

We are already DVC members and the contracts have the same month use. The new contract has some banked points that need to be used by 3/1/14. We already have a trip booked 2/23-3/1. I'd love to used the banked points and then bank my current point that I used for the reservation, but I need to do it by 10/31. Any chance?

I think I got my membership about a week after closing.....so maybe there is a chance

Fair I would say it is usually done within 14 days

I recently closed on a resale with the same use year, after it went through ROFR, I had the owners bank the points before ownership was transferred to me. Once the ownership was mine, I had my points in about 10 days. Was told you get them quicker if you already have the same use year as your new points.

I closed on my HHI contract on 10/01 and I'm still waiting for the points to be loaded. I was told 10 days, if that's business days, today is the 10th. I'm hoping they'll be loaded by this weekend. I really want to get my vacation booked

I closed on 10/1 on a Hilton Head contract and am still waiting on my new membership number and points too. I called yesterday and they told me to call back next week again and check on it. This one is a different resort than my first contract though, so I know it will slow down the process a little. Getting nervous because I need to book next week for May 24-31st. I also have 100 points on the new contract that will expire 03/01 that I'll need to try to do something with in Feb, so I'm in the exact same boat as you!

Glad I'm not the only one, maybe HHI just takes longer to be processed? I'm really hoping nothing was screwed up. We were originally going to try for May trip but at this point I'll just be happy to get anything booked.

HHI is finally listed as one of my home resorts . No points yet but from previous posts I've read it seems once its been added the points follow in a few hours.

Mine was the same membership number, different resort but same UY. The points showed up around 3 and I was finally able to make my first reservation

Have you checked online today? Maybe yours is there now. I think usually even with 2 member numbers you still have access with the same username and there's a dropdown box that lets you toggle between the member numbers.

We closed on the 16th and were told 14-28 days. After reading here I really hope it is quicker since we are anxious to make our reservations for next Aug. Do you receive the membership number by mail (that's what our email said). If that is the case, do we then have to go online and register our info. Not sure how the next step works. Anxious to get our points though. We also are closing in Jan on another contract and can't wait to have all of our points plus the carryover points to use to plan all our trips.

I just saw another post where I think you said your deed posted on 10/9, mine posted on 10/1 so it might be more like next weekend that yours is added but hopefully I'm wrong and you get them sooner.

With a new membership you do have to wait until you receive your membership number in the mail. Once you receive it, you can call and get your club ID and an access code to get online access. They had me in their system in 13 days last time but I didn't get my letter until for 6 more days (Closed 7/30, in system 8/13, rcv'd letter 8/19). Everyone warns about the ROFR wait but I think the wait to get your membership/access to your points is even worse because you know they are yours and you want them yesterday lol

OP, like you I added resale to same membership, same UY. Points were loaded yesterday. From closing, it took 13 calendar days. I closed on points last month as well, those took only 11 calendar days to show up. Good luck, you should be fine to make 10/31.
