I am offering to rent out 100 of my own AKV (Animal Kingdom) points. These points can only be used for reservations beginning on or after December 1, 2025, so the 11-month reservation window has just opened. With that said, December is the most popular time of the entire year at WDW and Animal Kingdom, so there may be some demand for these points. I am happy to be at my computer at 8am - the time when reservations open up - to try to snag a date you want...you just have to let me know in advance.

Like any AKV points, these points can be used at other resorts, but this post is not going to last for three and a half months (when those windows start to open) so if that's what you're looking for, these points aren't it (yet).

My story: I am not anything close to a broker or commercial renter. I am a parent and these are my family's points, generally reserved only for our own personal use. I am, however, fairly knowledgeable about WDW and DVC and am happy to work with you even if it's your first time ever looking at making a reservation on DVC points. No sneaky stuff here. No stupid questions. No assumptions that you have any idea what you are doing. I have been on your side of the equation many times -- in fact, I still to this day rent points from other people, and I only do so through DISBoards. The DISBoards community has very high standards and you're not going to find any group that is more knowledgeble or that holds renters more accountable.

Here is my pricing:
..........90-100 pts..........$18/pp
..........51-89 pts..........$19/pp
..........50 or less pts..........$20/pp

Value and club-level rooms will be an extra $5/pp, if I can get them (I don't mean to sound greedy on this topic, they just require A LOT of patience and effort to secure and, quite honestly, I probably can't get them anyways because I'm a human without access to any sophisticated software).

If you are interested, I need the following via DM only (please don't put your personal information out here for all to see):
  • Check-in and Check-out date, along with # of nights so there's no confusion between us
  • Room Type (deluxe studio, 1BR, etc.) - note that the studios at Animal Kingdom only sleep 4
  • View (Resort, Savannah, etc.)
  • Lead guest name, address, phone, and email
  • All guests' names and ages
  • Preference for Jambo House or Kidani Village

I follow the same basic rules that most reliable renters follow. If you're not familiar, here is a run-down (the rental agreement will spell all of this out, along with anything I inadvertently missed):
  • Here is the process in a nutshell: you give me the dates, resort(s), and room(s) you are interested in, I confirm availability, you sign the rental agreement, I secure the reservation, I send you the reservation number, you put it in your Disney World app and confirm everything looks correct, you pay. When done this way/the right way, neither of us has too much risk.

  • You have the right to expect honest dealings from me, and you'll get nothing short of it at all times. You'll get my personal e-mail address and cell phone number and an invitation to call/text/e-mail any reasonable time.

  • You have the right to insist on a fair rental agreement, and you'll get one before you pay.

  • You have the right to see your reservation in your Disney World app, exactly the way you requested it, and you will before you pay.

  • I have the right to cancel your reservation if I do not receive payment in full within 48 hours of the reservation number being sent to you.

  • Payment needs to be through PayPal, friends and family, or else you will need to pay any fees. I will not accept checks or cash. Because you don't know me, I suggest using a credit card that has adequate fraud protection to pay through PayPal (Chase has great options; others do too). I can tell you that you won't need it, but you shouldn't take my word for it.

  • Once payment is made, I will under no circumstance refund your money. However, the points become "yours," so to speak, and I will work with you to reschedule your trip to the maximum extent allowed under my DVC contract.

  • I suggest you think about trip insurance. Of course, I would feel horrible if something unexpected happens and you can't go on your trip, but I will unapologetically stand by my "no refunds" policy -- all renters, even the most popular brokers, do. There's a lot of risk we take in renting these points, with little-to-no reward, and no one can afford to take a chance by allowing an exception to this policy.

I am unable to PM you because I don't have enough posts yet. Would you be willing to check for a Savannah View studio for December 7th-13th (6 nights)? Jambo House preferred. I know this isn't your standard operating procedure, so I understand if you don't want to look into it.

Sorry, nothing available right now for those dates. December goes really quick at AKV.

Longer stays are going to become unavailable in December for some of the room levels shortly (some weeks are already spotty). NYE and early January opens up in a couple of days and those dates will go very quick -- NYE because it's the most incredible NYE party in the world and early January because it's the second lowest points category of the year and usually schools are still on break.

Timing is important here - you won't be able to get these dates for nearly this cheap in a couple of months!

More to think about:

Studio availability in December is going quick! I expect that this weekend marathon weekend 2026 will sell out very quickly as well at a number of the room levels!

AKV has a good points chart if you want a relatively cheap sure-thing for December, NYE, or the marathon! Or maybe you're not price-shopping, and maybe you want to say good morning to the giraffes from your balcony before you head out for the day. I can help with either!

Regarding the marathon, the start of the marathon has historically been at EPCOT, so booking at AKV puts you at essentially the same distance from the start as would booking on the monorail loop.

If your plan is to wait until runDisney opens the tickets in the spring, you are probably not going to be able to get a studio for $18/pt. At that point, most studios - especially the cheaper ones like at AKV - will have been scooped up by "spec renters" (folks who reserve popular dates at cheap resorts specifically with the intent of resale) who will offer them for $25-30/pt+. Keep in mind, points you buy from me are "yours" within the confines of my contract, so I'm happy to move around your dates (subject to availability, of course...I can't do magic...) so if you unfortunately don't get that marathon spot, all is not lost.

(But mostly, I'd like to get these sold so I can forget about monitoring this particular board...can you help me out )

Hi!

Much like AllStars up there, I am unable to DM you.

If these points are still available, would you be able to look up January 2nd - 8th, 2026. 2 adults, 2 kids. A delux studio, maybe comparing a resort and savannahs view? I also have no preference on Kidani or Jambo because I'm not sure if I should? Thank you for your time!

Hi,

Here are the instructions on how to get DM access:

Using the DM System

Those dates are available right now. A studio would run you 76 ($1,444) or 94 ($1,692) points, depending on the view ("resort" versus "savanna"). It's the same cost whether you want the studio at Jambo or Kidani. FWIW, that same room would cost somewhere around $3,400 - $4,400, plus tax, if booked directly through Disney (based on 2025 rates; 2026 rates haven't been put out there yet). Both options are currently available for your dates. With that said, I've been monitoring this particular week closely since it's a low cost week between two of the most popular weeks of the entire year (Christmas/NYE and marathon weeks), and I'm concerned that availability will not last much longer. Several days are already gone.

The only notable difference between "resort" and "savanna" view is the obvious. Resort views tend to have less interesting views - parking lots, pools, gardens, etc. Savanna views will have at least a partial view of one of the savannas (almost certainly, a full-blown, wonderful view..but, you know, they can't move trees and poles). I always offer a bit of caution here: while there are MANY rooms on the most popular Sunset and Arusha savannas, there are a total of four savannas at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and there is no way to be guaranteed you'll have a room on any one of them in particular. With that said, Jambo rooms physically cannot be overlooking the Pembe savanna and Kidani rooms physically cannot be overlooking the Arusha or Uzima savannas. If you can swing the extra few hundred dollars, I would personally upgrade -- I hope that doesn't sound too salesy -- the views really are THAT cool.

As far as the difference between Jambo and Kidani, Jambo is more centrally located relative to the "main" resort areas. Jambo has the initial "wow" factor, especially during the holidays, and it's likely that you'll be on an upper floor. On the other hand, some people with kids prefer the pool that is closer to Kidani and some people believe that Kidani savanna views are more likely to be better (obviously, no one can guarantee what animals will do). Both definitely have their fans so there's not a "wrong" choice here. My preference would be Jambo, but, again, both have their fans.

Please shoot me a DM when you open up and I would be happy to snag these dates for you.

Thank you so much for linking those instructions! I'm working on gaining availability for DM access now.

It looks like our vote is on savanna view, and it seems like a complete toss up on Kidani or Jambo, but I'll have a decision once I can DM. I was only granted access this morning, and I only signed up because I saw this thread, actually. So unfortunately I won't be able to DM until tomorrow morning, but please know that I am for sure planning on following up.

Sounds good. You should be fine tomorrow if you want the savanna view. The cheaper rooms usually go the quickest with DVC. The resort view at Jambo is already teetering between available and waitlist-only from the 6th on because of the marathon, so, if you pivot, it may be a little challenging to secure that option tomorrow.

If you have any questions about Jambo versus Kidani, or Animal Kingdom Lodge in general, I'm happy to answer them here in public if it might help you make your choice between the two. I just don't want you putting out your information for scammers to see -- this is a publicly-viewable site.

I'm leaning more towards Jambo, I think. We've been to Kidani once to eat at Sanaa and that was wonderful, but being more in the hub would be more convenient, probably. On another board here someone mentioned Zebra trail, Arusha savanna for Jambo, and that sounded nice. While the pool at Kidani seems to be better for kids, I'm honestly not sure if we'd even make it there, with the weather being a toss-up in early January, but even if we do we could just take the shuttle. Plus, Kidani seems huge, and I really don't want a repeat of my kids complaining about the super far walk to the room like they did when we were in the very, very far back Little Mermaid rooms at AoA 🤣.

Happy to make the request when I submit the reservation, but zero guarantees Disney will see it or, if they do, fill it. Requests are completely hit-or-miss, no matter where or how you book your room (DVC or otherwise). The other boards here will confirm the same.

That's the primary reason people prefer Jambo over Kidani.

the very, very far back Little Mermaid rooms at AoA 🤣.

That walk -- Yikes! To compare: it's about 1,200 feet from the bus stop to the furthest room at Jambo, while it's about 1,800 from the bus stop at AoA to the closest room in the Little Mermaid building.
