I've been away from the boards for a bit as work is so busy but came back to see how everyone else is feeling now there's only a year left to go!!

Just came back from a week at POR last week. We had a great time and booked our bounceback with FD for 9/26/12-10/3/12. It was the best souvenir for me!! This trip was an adults only, so it felt really good to book a trip for the kids! Can't wait to tell them. We are going to wait until after the holidays are over and things kind of get blah and then surprise them. Then we can start our planning as a family, my ADR date in 3/30/12.

We will be going Sept 7-14 offsite then at SSR sept 14-23. Huge family trip, count as of right now is 18!! Too bad no more grand gatherings!

So as of right now my fiance and I have the 2-8 set for our dates next September. However, I have been thinking more and more that maybe we should make it later in the month to enjoy the NSSHP. He loves Halloween and I think it could def be fun for us. Does anyone have any idea when this typically starts in the month? And if it would be worth it for us to make our trip later in the month?

Responding to you since I just went through the past several years' of dates for MNSSHP. It looks like in the last few years it started around the 15th....typically whatever Tuesday that landed on. And it seems that every Friday after that had a party. Around 2008/2009 (don't quote me as I didn't write it down and looked at WAY too may years), they started it after Labor Day and in 2006/2007, it started on the 1st of September.

So basically, it's a crap shoot when it'll start but I don't think it'll be in the beginning of the month. I am hoping that it'll remain on Fridays so we can go the 28th.

I cannot wait to surprise our boys on Christmas with this trip. We'll be buying a couple of WDW kid books and our wicked awesome TA will be sending me a special page to go with the package! Yay for free dining for September and yay for our world's best TA!!!

No exact dates or resort yet... but I will likely be there at the end of September for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon.

As of Today, my trip plans are cancelled.
My grandmother has been really down, happier since we arrived but still not her usual self. She gave me a bucket list of some sort, and it included a trip to Disneyland. so DH and I have decided that for Christmas we are flying her and my grandfather out to Disneyland, Staying in a luxurious, handicap-able suite, and putting out all the stops. But shh! She doesn't know yet.

Someone please take over this board. I feel bad closing it, but I have NO time for it.

Sorry you won't be able to make it next September, but have a magical time in December! I will open a new thread for us. Is it ok if I copy/paste the info you have on the first thread?
