We will be first time visitors to the Wilderness Lodge arriving June 6th and leaving June 15th. We decided on the Woods View and requested a high floor so I'm hoping for one of those beautiful views. Can't wait to eat at Artist Point again and try Whispering Canyon for the first time.

I sound like Olaf in Frozen but I can't wait for summer!

Does anyone know what time in the morning you meet if you are chosen for Flag Family of the day? Also, how long does it take? I would like to request this for our upcoming trip but was not sure of how it worked. Thanks!

Love the tardy TR and thank you for posting. When is your next trip?

I do love WL, however I believe DL (the one and only original) will be in the near future for us, since we are just a day's drive away. And driving is still MUCH cheaper than those flight tickets.... But maybe in 5 years for our anniversary?!

Last July we met up at 8.15am at concierge desk. It is 5 flags that you raise. Request at check-in and they will check available dates.

Welcome to the thread and I'll add your dates to the Lodgers' Log. You might also want to add "North Wing" so that your room will face toward the MK/CR. There are some South Wing Woods View rooms that overlook VWL, which is also lovely, but might not be what you had in mind.

Super excited! We rented points and are staying at VWL May 27-30! This is a MK only trip with half a day to meet Elsa and Anna at Epcot. I have wanted to stay here for a while, so this is awesome! I have been reading the beginning few pages of the thread. My question is where is the bus pick up? I looked on one of there only map pictures I could find and I didn't see it, but might have over looked it. Thank you!

We just returned from a 5 day stay in a 2 bedroom villa and I have to report how much I loved loved loved this resort. I was not expecting to, in fact we only stayed here because it was the only resort with availability (we rented points from a friend), but I really think that it is now at the top of my list of favorite resorts, even over the Polynesian. We couldn't wait to get back to our room at the end of each day!! What a pleasant surprise, I can't wait to go back!

The buses pick up in front of the resort (on the West side), south of the main lobby. (Which is super convenient because it is just off the walkway that leads between the villas and the rest of the resort.) Enjoy your trip.

Did you get a refurbished room? Did you happen to notice how far the renovation is/what floor they are on? I'm getting super excited.

Hi Kook! I have a quick question(unrelated to the resort) and I was hoping you could answer it for me...we will be visiting the lodge this December(so excited!!!) and my husband is also military. Last year we visited CR for 10 days and just bought base tickets at our local MWR...this year were visiting for 7 days and I'm wondering if the military salute tickets with 3 extra base ticket days added on will be cheaper option? The whole thing kind of confuses me so I was just wondering what kind of tickets your family usually purchases for your trips? While I'm here I just wanted to say you do a great job on these threads! I learned so much last year about the CR and I am so excited about learning what I can about WL before our trip later this year. Thank you!!

Not that I have seen. There are quite a few courtyard view rooms, and they already charge a premium for them, so I believe they are usually available for discounts.

Yay! Thinking of adding another night if we get free dining or 30% discount. Should we add it now and cancel if there are no discount for our dates or wait to add it when December deals come out? We booked woods view but courtyard seems like it's not too much more and with the discount....

If you booked a room only reservation then I would go ahead and add the extra day, just to be sure. You can always drop it later at no cost, as long as you do it more than 5 days before check in.

The discounts for Dec 2013 came out in August last year.
