Hi all, I am not great at sleeping....:) Looking for the most quiet room for CL standard...what would I request? Thank you!

Hi all, I am not great at sleeping....:) Looking for the most quiet room for CL standard...what would I request? Thank you!

In my experience I have found that the room assigners for each resort know their resorts well and know which rooms are the quietest. So I would make a room request of "quiet room location". :thumbsup2

We will be staying in a 1 bedroom villa from March 29- April 5. We are using a friends points through RCI, so we have to take what is available and this what were given.

It will be myself, dd (11), ds (7) and my sister.

I know nothing about this resort other what I have read.

The news about the renovations has me a bit nervous, but praying it won't be too bad.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

If it helps, we normally stay at POFQ or the Poly.

Hi all,

Just wondering if the menus on the 1st page of this thread still reflect the current evening hot food options in the OFC?

Specifically interested in Tuesday - Friday.

Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I've fallen a tad behind in my trip reports...like none since last Monday.....
But, we're checking out tomorrow (we're the Flag Family in the morning!!!!):woohoo:.
A quick trip to DHS so DH can ride TOT & The Roller Coaster, lunch at 50's Prime Time (to say hello & good-bye to waitress Elaine),then back to CL to say our good-byes to all the tremendous CM's:cloud9:. Then a 6 hour drive home:drive:.
We did a lot over the week, from tours, to Hoop-De -Doo to V & A this evening.
I promise to post some TR's in a day or two:surfweb:....that is,if anyone is interested. I don't want to bore anyone......
Starting to feel separation anxiety:sad:.......may have to blast to get both DH & I outta here;)

Hi everyone! Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself, I will be staying at WL for the first time, in a Woods View room April 24th-28th. I've always wanted to stay here, so I thought my second solo adventure would make a great opportunity to give it a try! Looking forward to perusing the thread for tips, hints, and words of wisdom :)

Hi Everyone

We have finally booked the WL after being such a long time lurker on the WL board. :cool1:

Doing a split stay across a SeaWorld hotel for 3 nights and then 15 nights at WL in a wood view room. We visited the WL on our trip last year and fell in love with the resort. Dates are 6th - 25th September 2014, please could you add me to the log?

Thank you

I was booked at All Star Music, but my parents decided to join us on this trip so we will be likely booking Wilderness Lodge from 5/29-6/5. My room would have me, my 14 year old DS, my 6 year old DD, and 3 year old DD. Other room with just my parents. Hopefully connecting. We will be booking woods view, and I usually ask for ground floor rooms. I know that's probably not popular at WL but we have always liked having the patio area to let kids outside. Any advice on ground floor? Thanks in advance. Also any advice on connecting rooms would be good too.

Hello-We are staying at WL 5/7-5/11 with a woods view bunk bed room. I would like to make a room request--Otter Pond view, Floors 2-5 with no connecting door. Does that exist? I don't want to waste their time looking at something if it is not even a possibility

I will keep checking, thanks. If there's no update by this weekend, I will post it myself :)
It still hasn't changed over:confused3

@WDWKOOK - Our room was 6022.
Thanks!

Hi guys, figured this be the best place to get my question answered :). Saw that they started to refurb the villas over on the DVC board. Thinking of adding a night to our existing stay and wanted to try the villas. Any idea when the refurb is scheduled to be complete? Sorry if this had been asked before.
I was told it would be through March, but that could change.

Hi all, I am not great at sleeping....:) Looking for the most quiet room for CL standard...what would I request? Thank you!
We love a quiet room, too. We always request a room without a connecting door (a non-connecting room), which makes a big difference. Rooms that don't have another room beside it (end or corner rooms) are also quieter.

In my experience I have found that the room assigners for each resort know their resorts well and know which rooms are the quietest. So I would make a room request of "quiet room location". :thumbsup2
Good advice - those Room Assignors know their rooms.

Welcome to the thread! There aren't any bookable VWL room views, but some like to request a room facing Bay Lake or woods. You can't really see Bay Lake because of the trees, but that's a popular request. Some also like to request a particular floor. There is a map in the VWL section of the thread and lots of other photos and information. Let us know if you have other questions.

They are still current as of December.

Of course we want a TR!! Woohoo for snagging FF and I know just what you mean about last days at WL - they are so depressing - so book another trip FAST!

Welcome aVASTGrl! I'll add your dates to our Lodgers' Log in Post #2. If after perusing you have any questions - fire away!

Welcome and we're glad to have you come out of lurkdom. 15 nights at WL is dreamy and we're all happy for you. Will you be booking ADRs everyday? I'll add your dates and let us know if you have any questions.

Welcome to the WL/VWL thread. I added your dates - positive thinking;). The Woods View rooms in the North Wing directly front the woods and Otter Pond. The South Wing rooms front VWL with the woods beyond. If you want to be just steps from the VWL pool, then you would request the South Wing. But, if your kids want to run around in the grass and be near a pond and woods, you would request the North Wing. I don't know which Woods View ground floor King/Queen rooms connect though.

Thanks, I'll have to add those to the DINING section:)

Yes, it should exist on one if not all four of those floors and I'll log your dates:)

My parents don't care if they have a king bed, so that's not a requirement. The biggest request would be north wing ground floor, with connecting rooms as a nice bonus. As for beds, we aren't picky. We were going to be at ASMu so we were prepared for doubles, lol.

Sounds like a plan. With woods view there are more rooms in the North wing that are on the ground floor, so that should work out well. (The ground floor rooms are in the East end of the wings of the resort, and most of these in the South wing are considered Courtyard view)
As for trying for a connecting room we had good luck with having a "traveling with" note in our reservations that references the other party, and we both requested connecting rooms. So our reservation had a note that we were traveling with my parents, and we both requested connecting rooms and got them. It was so nice to have the extra space of two rooms when we had the door open, and the privacy when we closed it.

Thanks for the tip! We thought it would add some room too, also with the patios nearby too. So excited, my folks haven't been since 1989:)

My dream come true!!! Finally booked at trip at the WL! I've wanted to stay here since I was 18. Just booked two deluxe rooms for 8/11-8/18. Big family trip with my mom and dad, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, one of my brothers and his best friend plus myself and my two DDs and DS. Talked to IPO today and they said they will take care of all the ADRs on Wednesday and arrange a fireworks cruise on the Grand One Yatch (my poor dads only request).
Now I just need to cross my fingers for a discount!!
I have stalked this thread for so long and now I'm part of it!!

It sounds like it will be a wonderful trip. The fireworks cruise sounds fun, too. :goodvibes

Congratulations, sounds like it will be worth the wait.

Today is our FP+ day, but I haven't gotten around to making them yet. It looks like some bad weather is heading our way Thursday, (the gov. has already declared a state of emergency), which will give me the day to fuss over them and ADRs, (it's a good fuss though:)). I spent the afternoon (finally) framing mis. Disney prints I've collected from past visits. The office walls look much better now::MickeyMo

Welcome! I'm glad you're not stalking us anymore:thumbsup2. TWO Deluxe Rooms?! WOW! Your vacation sounds fabulous and I'll add you to the Lodgers' Log. I hope you can apply some sort of discount and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Kook-- yes two deluxe rooms. There are 12 of us...and we may have another tag along so I will have to book a standard CL room if that happens!! I love that you hung Disney pics. I just moved into a rental for the first time, and I hate that all my pics are in boxes.

Transportation question---is there an easy/direct route from the gf to the wl? I think after the fireworks cruise my parents will take the grand kids back to the wl while the rest of us head out for late night fun.
