Just curious - we booked a standard view in the garden wing.... Are there any requests we could make for the location? We have a toddler if that makes a difference. Are there king size beds?

My first request would be close to Tower. We stayed in the Tower last month. The laundry room for the entire resort is located in the Garden Wing so I went to the Garden Wing a few times during my stay. When you enter the door to the Garden Wing from the Tower Side, you are close to water play area, pool beach and of course the Tower. The rooms closest to that end of the Wing seemed to have the best location for convenience.

The Standard View rooms in the GW are all close to the Tower because they face toward the parking area and monorail which is right next to the Tower. There is a slight possibility of seeing some of the canal off to your left if you're in a room closest to the canal on the south side. Unless there's an obstruction I'm unaware of. Also, none of the GW rooms have balconies, but the first floors do have patios. I don't know how many king/SV/GW rooms there are, if any - sorry.

Thank you so much for that helpful info! A patio would be nice so maybe we will request that - it will be January so we are planning to spend lots of time in the parks as opposed to the room but we would love that little bit of outdoor space.

Can anyone tell me about how long a walk will it take from GW room to MK? Thanks!

You're welcome. At the end of the Transportation section of the first page, I have a link to a video in real-time of the walk from the Tower to the MK, which is about 10 minutes. The walk from the GW to the MK is a few minutes longer.

We are staying in 2 bedroom tpv at blt from 11/10-1/17. My 2 year old dgs is afraid of elevators. How many flights of steps will we need to walk if we request room on 5th or 6th floor? Please add us to log a rail. This thread rocks

The 14th floor Tower Club rehab was slated to be completed by "late summer," but I wasn't able to confirm completion. But, here's an older floor plan of the 13th, umm, 14th floor that CR Resort Fan 4 Life once posted:

I'll be glad to add you. If you are on the 5th floor, you'll be on the same floor as the Skybridge which connects to the CR's 4th floor Concourse. I think this is what you're asking?

How is the BLT parking? Usually spots to be had? Also, just in case, is there room service available at BLT? We are shooting to arrive at BLT, check in, and them make MK rope drop. Since the room probably won't be ready and I understand no where to store luggage at BLT it be best to just park and get the luggage out after the room is ready. Do they have carts we can use?

No carts for guests to use. Either Bell Services or bring your own cart (I have a small wheeled cart that I use).

I would think if the rooms weren't ready that you would have been notified.

And with the Cali Grill opening, well.. let's hope the refurb is complete.

Yes, they had them when I was there this past weekend. I didn't get one however, so can't comment on how it worked.

I only hope that we have a working fridge since I have some dietary restrictions and will be going to the grocery store for snacks.

FYI, I had a brand new fridge (still had the packing tape holding the shelves in place) in my tower room when I checked in last week so I would assume it was installed fairly recently. Hopefully for you that means they've finished installing them in CR by now.

I did notice they don't seem to be any better than that old ones though... still don't keep things fully cold unless you leave the doors to the cabinet open (and mousekeeping closes those darn doors every day!).
