I think I'm in love with that sweet cottage! Definitely putting it on the 'splurge someday' list! Maybe if I ever get married it would be perfect for a honeymoon! :yay:

A few pages back I had asked about the location of deluxe CL rooms & received two different answers. I emailed the IPO & she said that they are on different floors & some are outside of the Innkeeper door. So I guess she's right, maybe. LOL

From what I have read there are 10 in total .. 5 on the 3rd and 5 on the 4th. With I think 2 outside the Inn Keeper's doors.

Someone more seasoned a traveler can probably confirm or adjust this response though .. LOL

Any updates on the rehab? I'll be checking in to a deluxe CL room in just 27 days. Does anyone know where they are with the rehab?

I am so very much confused lol. I love the Boardwalk area we are planning our next trip and I would love to stay at the Boardwalk. I just want to make sure its the right fit for us. We stayed at the YC CL on our last trip and loved it. But i kept looking across the lake saying Hmmmm that looks like fun over there.

Question. My mom travels with us and she has mobility issues and uses a ECV. Great for her but we still have to foot it lol:scared:

I loved the size of the YC, close access to the boats, buses and lobby. Will I feel lost at BWI? If we request close to the lobby in a room request is that centrally located to everything like the Luna Pool and bus stops? Im confused lol:confused:

I just stayed at The Boardwalk (Villa side) last week. I use an ECV. The lobby is not on the actual boardwalk level. It is on the 2nd floor. My room was on the 3rd floor and had no problems using the elevator to get down to and access the boardwalk. (For boat/walking path access) The bus stop is out the lobby entrance and down a long path. totally accessible.
This resort is so nice and the CMs are very friendly and helpful.
I don't think you would be disappointed with it.:thumbsup2

Thanks to the Late Fall special I just booked Club Deluxe for 7 nights in December and saved about two grand!

:yay: Just booked a 1 bedroom unit at BWV through renting DVC for Feb/March :yay: Very excited!

we just booked the rest of our package for our March 28-April 4th, 2015 trip! all set with dining and hopper passes!
WOOHOO!!
:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Excited to announce our first stay at the BWV come this January 17th-22nd then on to the VGF :cool1:. This will be our first time in January! Ready for anything

Are the H20 products at BWI the orange (grapefruit bergamot) or the blue? I use the blue at home & won't drag my full size bottles & tubes if that's what they provide. For the life of me I can't remember!

3 days!!!

ETA Never mind - I can see its the orange in the rehabbed room pics!!!

Yup, it's orange. I was just there last week. I have a little bottle of the lotion on my desk at work -- where I'm fondly looking at it now. Just not the same. Have a great time!

Woohoo :cool1: 2 great locations. Between DHS and EPCOT and then next door to MK. Love it!

What are these products that you speak of

When we stayed at BWI in January we spent evenings at the red tables by the water in front of the Bakery. We'd look up at the third floor balconies and say "next year". These are Club Deluxe right? Does booking that category assure you a good Boardwalk view? I'd like to be able to see the MK fireworks. Thanks!
Yes, all 10 Deluxe rooms have a BWV. Five are on the 3rd floor and five on the 4th floor where the lounge is located.

4 weeks from today I'll be sitting on the balcony of my (hopefully newly renovated) deluxe room and enjoying the view before heading over to Epcot for some evening fun and dinner at Coral Reef.:goodvibes

I'm not positive there are two outside the door - maybe one? But I'm positive about the rest:thumbsup2

We have been DVC members since 2002 and really haven't been concerned with our room location. However, this year in Sep 2014, we have a 2bdr villa and a 1 bdr villa for a week and I really want the two rooms as close together as possible. What is the best way to request the villa locations and when should I be doing the request. Thanks for any help.

Robin

Hi Kook,
We've had a resort change. Surprised? I think not. :rotfl:
I took your suggestion and kept an eye out for a mil rate for our upcoming trip. We were able to get it for YC, not for BW.
Happily, I checked to see if BW standard CL was avail for late Sept 2015, and it was! We were able to book at the mil rate. :yay:So, if the Bulletin goes out that far, could you log us for Sept 25-Oct3?
I'll be hanging around the neighborhood. Thanks for all you do! :goodvibes

You have to make the requests at least 2 weeks in advance, so I would just do it now. I would call member services and ask if they can link the reservations to try to get them close together. Otherwise, what other requests you give could depend on what view you have booked? Close to the lobby is never a bad one though. Good luck!

I am staying at BWI in November with my husband and 3 kids. My DD who is 9 has an auditory processing disorder. I never know what noises will frighten her, some things like fireworks are just fine, but, other things like calling the boys down to dinner might not be. She doesn't have a fit, but becomes very nervous and cries. I'm worried about room location since BWI has the potential to be noisier than our usual WL/POR/AKL trips.
We are staying CL. What area/floor/section would you guys recommend. We have never stayed at BWI before so any advice is appreciated!

Club rooms could be on the Boardwalk, or non-BW, and the BW rooms tend to be a little noisier. For you, it sounds like you would rather give up the nicer view for the less noise. You could specifically request Garden View, or "not Boardwalk view", but I think instead it would actually be better to explicitly request something like "quiet room not on the boardwalk, child with auditory issues." The room assigners might know which rooms are quieter than others! Hope it works out well.
