We're taking our boys to Disney in June our oldest will be 2 1/2 (it's his 2nd trip) and our youngest will be 6 Mo. Anyone have any advice for sleeping arrangements in our hotel room? DS1 sleeps in a twin bed with bed rails at home. How do we do that at the resort (we'll be at POFQ)? DS2 is in a crib of course. Where would be the best place to put the crib in the room? We usually stay in the villas with my parents, but this is our first trip with just our family! :)

You can get bed rails from the hotel, I would have DS1 sleep in a bed with the rails and the baby can sleep in a pack and play (I would put the baby either in the vanity area with the curtain drawn OR in the bathroom. We always put the babys pack and play in the bathroom when we travel since we have two others (3 & 5). That way the baby can go to bed earlier and we dont have to worry about the noise of the tv or the lights, etc.

We often have to ask for 4 bed rails since they run out of the long bed size bed rails, they come with the short ones. They are really short, 2 equal one bedrail. So we ask for 4 of them. We also ask for extra pillows and put the pillows around the bedrails, there's usually a gap.

We had no problem setting up the PNP next to one of the bed and the front door. It fit perfectly.

Thanks for the quick replies! I had inquired about bed rails before and they said they didn't have any. I called back today after your advice and found out that I could get them! Thanks so much! That will save us money. We were thinking about buying portable ones. I really appreciate it!

wehen we stayed at all stars we pushed the bed over into the corner and put 2 short rails on the other side. it got pushed back by mousekeeping the first night but after we moved it back again they kept it in the corner.

We push the bed next to the wall like the previous poster and we put the chairs in the room against the other side.

We stayed at POFQ September 2007 and we were able to get two bed rails for our 2 1/2 year. That worked well for her as a bed. Just ask when you check in. I am pretty sure we could not move the beds at POFQ or I would have moved the bed and asked for only one rail.

Also, as someone else said, we have always placed pack'n plays for babies in the vanity area...allowing us to draw the curtain closed and keep that area dark while the rest of us can use the room and not disturb the baby (within reason). We find it helps to bring a white noise from home to block out any light room noise (our youngest had a stuffed Pooh that played music for 30 minutes and then shut off...that was great for traveling).

Have a wonderful trip!
