closed attractions??

Hello: I just checked the Tip Board and was floored by the number of temporary closed attractions at the Magic Kingdom. There must have been at least 10 and most of the major attractions. I can't imagine paying that amount of money for park admission and have that many closed attractions. What the heck is going on? Thanks Canadian Tom

Big lightning and thunderstorm located over Bay Lake scrolling across weather alert channel until 6:45 p.m.
It was louder than fireworks ! And scarier too
Heavy rain cancelled the fireworks last night too.

It sure is frustrating when you're in MK and a thunderstorm hits. So many rides close down.

Yep, the storm knocked out power to the walk-through security scanners at DHS. They had to wand us and check bags like the old days!!

Yeah it’s almost always weather-related if a bunch of rides are dow, especially if you notice all the rides that are down are partially or completely outside. Happens a lot during the summer.

Yah, rides like test track start to announce inclement weather risk and ride might stop at any time. Always good to check the radar in the afternoon and then plan accordingly for anything that might be outdoors.
