CLOSED: 550 Points for Transfer - HH and OKW - $11.50 per point

We have three different DVC memberships and thus the ability to make three separate transfers.

Remaining is a June 2016 Use Year for OKW and HH - 550 points (380 OKW, 170 HH) . These points cannot be used prior June 1, 2016 but will be valid until May 31, 2017 and they may also be banked for use through May 31, 2018. Starting July 1, 2015 they may be used to make reservations at OKW and HH 11 months in advance (for dates after June 1, 2016) and at other resorts for dates after June 1, 2016 once you reach 7 months since transferred points may NOT be borrowed. These points are not restricted and could be used for any DVC reservation options including all DVC resorts, Disney Collection (DCL, non-DVC resorts), Concierge Collection, and Adventurer Collection. Currently, you may request a reservation for a Disney Cruise Line® vacation that has a sail date on or before June 7, 2017, some sailings may not be available for booking at the 24-month window.

February 2016 Use Year for HH - 150 points. These points cannot be used prior to February 1, 2016 but are valid until January 31, 2017. They may also be banked for use through January 31, 2018. At the present time they may be used to make reservations at HH 11 months in advance and at other resorts after February 1 once you reach 7 months before arrival since transferred point may NOT be borrowed. Transfer of these 150 February HH points are now pending and not available at this time.

March 2016 Use Year for OKW - 385 points. These points cannot be used prior to March 1, 2016 but are valid until February 28, 2017. They may also be banked for use through February 28, 2018. At the present time they may be used to make reservations at OKW 11 months in advance (currently 6/5/16) and at other resorts after March 1 once you reach 7 months before arrival since transferred point may NOT be borrowed. Transfer of these 385 March OKW points are now pending and not available at this time.


Priority will be given to those accepting a transfer of all points in the respective contract Use Year ( June - 550 points). Lower amounts, if necessary, will be at a higher price.

Transfers will be made once payment has been confirmed. Paypal (with usual additional fees) will be accepted as well as personal checks (transfer will be made after check clearance has been confirmed - usually about 10 days after deposit).

I will need to know the name and address of the account accepting the transfer and the membership number of the account accepting the transfer.

Members are allowed one transfer (either into or out-of) per Use Year. These points will need to be transferred into your 2016 Use Year which presently applies to those with February, March, April and June, 2016 Use Years. Those with a later Use Year would need to wait until their respective 2015 Use Year anniversary as transfers may only be made from/to the current and next Use Year.

Transferred points will retain their original Home Resort and Use Year status. They may be banked for an additional year of use.

i am interested in about 100 points for use in August 2016, my use year is june and with borrowing i am short for our cruise. Would the transfer qualify for booking a august 2016 cruise now.

Yes, a transfer from any of these memberships would apply to a cruise reservation in August, 2016. At this time, I won't consider a transfer of fewer than 150 points (the February, 2016 HH membership). Any additional points can still be banked for an additional year of use (until January 31, 2017).

I will only consider a transfer of fewer than 150 points at a later date since my preference is to transfer the entire 150 from that membership. A transfer of fewer points would also be at a higher rate if considered at all.

Please let me know if you would like a transfer of all 150.

DVC policy is that transfers are allowed from/to the current and next Use Year. Since these are points from the 2016 use Year, they are supposed to be transferred into a 2016 Use Year account. With a December Use Year, you are still in your 2014 Use Year and can accept a transfer from another member's 2014 and/or 2015 Use Year (into your 2014 and/or 2015 Use Year) but not yet the 2016 Use Year - even though these points would mostly fall in your December, 2015 Use Year. My concern would be that DVC would not allow a transfer of these 2016 UY points into your 2015 Use Year.

All of our three memberships are in their 2015 Use Year and we can transfer/accept points from our 2015 and/or 2016 Use Year.

Sorry, but these points are only available for transfer to another DVC member at this time and are not even available for dates prior to March 1, 2016.

You should post your request in any of the rental threads offering to make reservations for others - usually titled "Points for Rent" or contact www.DVCrequest.com .
