Close toed?

We have two dinners on our vacation that have dress codes. Is it ok to wear open toed dress shoes (not sandals or flip flops)? The clothes that I've chosed don't look right with closed toes dress shoes.

I would think as long as they are true dress shoes they should be fine!!!

If your talking the dress codes at WDW "signature restaurants," they are pretty much open for interpretation. You will see people in park touring clothes and others dressed up. Pretty much - no swim suits or cover-ups, no cut offs and no hats on men. You'll see just about everything else.

I hope so since I'll be there in sandals. I won't be at V&A but other than that I'm figuring that either slacks, a nice blouse and sandals or a simple dress and sandals will have to do.

That definitely sounds fine! We've worn dresses with flip flops at places like the Yachtsman and Narcoossee's.

Just look at all the photos of the celebrities on the red carpet. How many of them are wearing closed toe shoes? About zero. You'll be fine.

You'll be fine! I wore open toed at my wedding, which is much more formal that a Disney signature spot. I wouldn't sport Old Navy flipflops but anything above that will be okay.

You will see the entire gamut at the Signatures, especially the in-park signatures. Everything from park attire, to super dressy. Your shoes sound more than fine! (I have to confess, I wear very casual sandals to signatures since we are usually in the park and high heels are just not happening - I don't want to end up on Badshoe.com! )

I think sandles with a small heel would be would work great. That's what I would do.

shoot I never considered shoes when the guy mentioned a dress code my girls got Hawaiian print sundresses one Orange one Turquoise I got them matching flip flops Older DD Orange with Gold and younger Turquoise with silver but they are plastic guess I should start looking for dressy sandals

They are probably fine.

This is what I think they are talking about. I think the outfit is more important than the shoes. They just don't want you to look like you just came from the pool.

My dressy flip flops go with all my cute capri/top's for the nicer restaurants.
I also wear bermuda shorts/cute tops with my dressy flip flops.

As long as you aren't wearing your swimsuit you are good to go.
