I've looked for this answer, but couldn't find it, so here goes...

We are planning a trip in Nov/Dec with my bro-in-law's family - each of us are families of four. Ideally, we would like adjoining rooms with a suite. Basically we want the ability to go back and forth, have the kids sleep wherever and maybe have an area to hang out a little while the kids are asleep.

As for location, we want to be in one of the hotels across Harbor - Camelot, Carousel, BWPPI, etc. I looked at Desert Inn and they have a family suite that looks perfect, but since they are not a good neighbor hotel, I wanted to see what other options there are.

Hmmmm, I think that covers my questions. I'd appreciate suggestions about hotels, plus other ideas of how to have the best set up with two families.

THANKS!:worship:

It lloks like you have listed all the options and have your answers, If you want to stay across the street than you have the choices you listed. I am bump for others.

Not a suite, but you could request connecting rooms at Hojo. We went with my parents in November and had rooms in building 2 that connected and it was great. :goodvibes Even better if you can get them at the entertainment rate!

Ive had recent stays at both PPI (Oct) and DI&S (Jun). Both places were just fine and I loved the short distance. However, both places have a one car per room policy - even the biggest family suite at DI&S. They say you can park any extra vehicles at the Hilton and pay their overnight fee. We were able to park the second car on a day by day basis at PPI - each morning had to go ask if there would be room. This would be a major consideration for me again if I was in a group that had more than one car...I wouldn't want to have to park my car god knows where. I don't know HOJO's car policy.

Not sure if this will help but I thought I'd throw it out there. The Grand Califronian does have 2 bedroom suites available. For my upcoming trip I was quoted about $9,000 for 6 nights (sat-fri), but also included 5 adult and 2 kids 6 day hoppers. 3 bedroom suite was $10,000 with hoppers.

We always stay at DI&S and get the large C2 room. I have not found a better value during the times we have gone (even when we were AP holders and could have stayed on property at a discount). The living space is not huge, but nice enough for an extra space with a tv. One of my DS always sleeps on the sofa bed. You get two full bathrooms, which is vital for our family. You could easily put the kids in one room for nap time and then hang out in the other while they sleep. It's definitly not a luxury hotel, but my experience has always been that it's clean and well maintained. We are not ones to hang out at our hotel. We sleep there and that's about it. Our time is spent at the parks. When my kids were smaller, we'd come back for naps and nothing more. It's SUPER close to the parks, so even better when you have little ones. If you're looking for a nice pool to hang out at, go somewhere else. The pool here gets the job done, but you'll find better options elsewhere.

Cool. Thanks for the input.

Crazyduck - I wish! I've stayed there and love it, but it's not in the budget at this time.

My sis-in-law was worried about the size of the "living" area, so it's good to know it's small, but okay.

Also, my big conern now is the parking situation. We'll have two minivans, so we may have to think about it.

Anymore input would be great.:yay:

I've heard people say that they were told they could park extra cars at Hilton parking garage, but I can only imagine what it costs since they charge their own hotel guests $15 a night to park there.
Anaheim Plaza also has 2 room suite configurations and they charge $4/day per car but have lots of parking.
