Close but not close enough

The ICC would probably let al-Zarqawi go based on the fact that he targets Americans.

How true.

Well AirForceRocks can you prove they were Terrorists or not ??

Lets face it if Armed men came to your house and said let us in or will killl the lot of you -- What would you say

Me personally? I'd fight to the death to keep them out. And if they somehow managed to get in and keep me alive, I'd resign myself to the fact that I was going to get blown away when my government comes after them.

Don't shoot, I'm Van Helsing and I'm on your side?

Just one man's opinion.

Funny thing is, that most of world doesn't think the U.S knows what the Geneva Conventions means anymore.

I would pefer al-Zarqawi was caught and handed over to the ICC - and the same thing should of happened to Saddam.

When are you and the rest of the world going to get it through your thick heads, we don't CARE what you all think!! Don't like it? Too damn bad!

The assumption i'm making is - everyone is innocent until proven Guility - That doesn't happen in the U.S anymore ain't that right.

The house or the person ???????

The house and the person were clearly military targets. Odd that you would assume those very close to al-Zarqawi would be innocent. I'm not assuming they're guilty. I'm waiting for more information to decide that. Seems imprudent to make such declarations absent any real information.

As for the Geneva Conventions, the rest of the world needs to reread the Geneva Conventions then. We've had this conversation before.

You trying to say i'm on the side of the terrorist richiebaseball ??

It appears you're doing that quite well by yourself. You certainly don't need my help.

Just one man's opinion.

Richard

So, what would YOU do?

Well what about sending ground troops into Falluja, seeing the U.S knows for sure that Zarqawi is in the Town.

Thanks richiebaseball ;)

Send ground troops from your country in, whichever that may be since you never care to share that information.

Personally, I'm sick and tired of reading and hearing about American troops being killed in battles. I would rather see these towns and countries bombed back to the Stone Age than any more of our troops killed.

This is war, innocent and guilty people are going to die. If you don't want to die, get the hell out of there. If you have no place to go, find someplace. Trust me, if my area of Florida was ever in the same predicament that Fallujah is in, I'd either be fighting or fleeing, not just standing around waiting to die.

Nope, I'll keep the one we have. It's time to stop pussyfooting around over there and take care of business once and for all.

1) You have yet to provide any information indicating that these were innocent people.

2) Even if they were innocent (which I *highly* doubt) collateral damage has never been considered murder by any competent legal authority.

Innocent people die all the time, during war and during peace, but not every case is considered murder. The fact that an innocent person is killed does mean that the person was murdered.

Still waiting for that information on these "innocents"...

I know that this may be a weird concept for you, but in the civilized world usually you have to prove that a perpetrator is guilty. Nobody has to prove his innocence as everybody is presumed innocent until proven contrarily.

You obviously don't have to be bombed back to the Stone Age, your savage beliefs already placed you there:rolleyes:

Yeah and we all know Iraq was part of the civilized world when Saddam was in power, don't we? All Saddam had to do was prove that he got rid of the weapons we know for a fact that he had at one time. He failed to prove that! If he really had nothing, most logical people (and I realize this does not include you) would conclude he'd open his country, prove there was none and he'd have remained in power till his death.

AFR and N. Bailey, let me just say that I admire your patience in dealing with the closed mind that keeps starting the Bush hating threads. To me, it's too much like trying to explain things to my toddler, but you guys keep soldiering on! The down side for you is, one day, my toddler will listen to me, while you will still be pointing out the flaws in reasoning of the people who don't know what "war" means. Aren't these people from the same countries we had to pull from the jaws of defeat last century?

Yes, my savage beliefs want my countrymen and women home safe and sound where they belong. If that requires ending this conflict by such extreme measures, then so be it. The US operates as legally and morally as it possibly can given the circumstances and all we catch is grief and second guessing.

By the way, that was an interesting reply from someone whos name is taken from a very violent group of men who would think nothing of raping, pillaging and terrorizing anyone and anything they came in contact with.
