Hi...from Animal Kingdom you are in a great location to get a number of good breakfast buffets...our favorite is Golden Corral on 192...from AK lodge entrance turn RIGHT away from the road into Disney. This is Sherberth RD....follow this for about a mile plus and you will end up on 192. Turn right on 192 and GCorral is just a block west on the left, Ponderosa will be to your left off 192......enjoy...Ted

Stay away from the Westen Sizzler at all cost. The worst food i ever had. I usually eat anything. It's the one near Old town. I got food posioning and was sick coming all way back to Chattanooga.

I thought I would for a cheap breakfeast to. but I will never will again. Yes I know I can get food posining just about anywhere.

Stay away from the Westen Sizzler.

since you sound like you really know what your talking about can i ask you what else there is of interest by akl that you recommend and how hard is it to get to sea world? thanks

the area on US192 is Kissimmee - when you are coming to WDW - stop at the rest stops and pick up the discount books - there should be some discount coupons you can use in Kissimmee.

Seaworld is the next exit (toward Orlando) once you get past all the exits to WDW (this includes DD) on I-4.

you can also on on the International Bvld. - this is also called World Center Drive on WDW property 535. I don't have a map here so I will need to check that is definitely 535.

also if you trip is not in the next week or so - go here

in this guide are several wonderful maps - that are very helpful.

Hi Leann...
"of interest" is huge offering in the Orlando area so I will just mention a few things...
Sea World is easy to get find but figure about 20-25 minutes. From AK Lodge go into Disney and follow the signs to I-4 and take it EAST and just hop off at the big Sea World Exit.
If you can give me the ages of kids, and what they like to do it would help but for now the big catagories of things to do are "High Tech" fun ( Disney Quest or 2-3 hours in Innoventions at EPCOT)...Roller Coasters (Universal has 4 or 5, and some good speed stuff at Disney.....Free Falls ( Old Town on 192 just east of Disney where you see the sky high towers with people free falling and flying hundreds of feet through the air)...Dinner Shows (The Luau and Hoop-de-do-Review at Disney, The Pirates Adventure, Mid Evil times outside of Disney), LOTS and lots of Gators (Gatorland) surprisingly very popular...Swimming at Wet and Wild or a Disney Park...a day at the beach on the east coast (60 minute drive)...Kennedy Space Center (about 60 minutes and a full day).....We like to spend an evening at Disney Boardwalk for some relaxing walking, a food treat or two and maybe dinner at ESPN if your family is into sports, and maybe a bikeride on a bike built for 4 or 6....
Of course there is tons of shopping...our favorite souvineer place is Character Corner in the Lake Buena Vista shopping Center. (EXIT Disney via the Downtown Disney exit to Lake Buena Vista...turn right and go about two miles and on the left is the Shopping Center. Character Corner is all authentic discontinued Disney stuff at unbelievable prices....worth a trip....)
Enough for now..let us know on the board of other questions...we are always happy to share ideas....enjoy...Ted

For Sea World you want to follow the signs for 535, but DON'T TAKE IT. 535- Apopka/Vineland Road is a different road from International. The WDW exit you'll take is near Downtown Disney (where there's another McDonald's, which opens fairly early).

You'll see the road split off for I-4, and then you'll go through the intersection for 535. Just past that you'll see the signs for Int'l Drive. It's fairly easy, because if you go straight, the road becomes a toll highway. You'll see a lot of people heading left onto I-Drive.

About a mile up I-Drive you pass the Premium Outlets, Dixie Stampede Dinner Theater, a VERY NICE 24-hour Walgreens, and a Publix grocery store (oddly enough, not 24-hour).

All of 3 miles at most past that you'll see the turn (LEFT) for the Sea World entrance. (There's also a Ponderosa and a Denny's at that intersection.)

PLEASE NOTE: International Drive at that point looks very different from the North end of I-Drive. It's very quiet, and there's lots of houses and trees. Everytime I head that way I see so many tourists thinking that they're on the wrong road, and getting themselves lost.

we are planning 3 disney days, we will eat in the parks but it is so pricey for the rest of our days i will eat off site and we did univ and ioa last yr so this yr we want sea world and all the stuff outside the parks.i would like a dinner show but don't think my 5 yr old would sit.drove around last yr and got lost alot, came in from Sanford, is there a tourist place we can stop and get coupons at? thanks

Every single restaurant and drug store in any of the tourist areas will have some sort of coupon book display inside. The books all look different, but the coupons are for the same values, so don't worry about trying to track down the best deal.
