Clocking up free money!

I'm not particularly good with budgeting and hunting down free stuff, but a friend referred me to Swagbucks in October and I kinda got myself hooked on hitting my target every day. Yes, I'm useless in finding bargains, but I'm ultra competitive with things like that! So I have been clocking up tons of swagbucks but I never really looked at what I can redeem them for.

So yesterday, I had a look, and I've earned enough in these few months for a $100 gift card and $50 gift card for Gap! That's the holiday clothes paid for!!

Just wondered if anyone else uses swagbucks or anything like it?

I got banned last year too. They said I was breaking the rules by having more than one account. I only had one account so I couldn't figure out what the heck they were talking about. I tried to talk to someone but they wouldn't even listen to me.

What is swagbucks and what do you have to do? Most of these reward sites take hours and hours to get a few points and your average hourly income turns out to be a few cents!

Do you mind sharing what they banned you for? I'd hate to think that I have been working hard for my swagbucks and they ban me and I lose them all...

I recently got hooked on swagbucks just this past week. Just in hitting the goal every day and doing some random higher paid surveys I'm almost up to 2k in swagbucks. Saving up for a Target gift card so I can use it to by a Disney gift card for my trip.

I did something similar about 10 years ago or so. I spent hours doing those stupid things and got up to $50. Then the site went POOF and I never got my money.

No thanks. I would rather save the old fashioned way......by not spending!

Yeah, Swagbucks is kind of (in)famous for going on mass banning sprees.

I think they run some kind of detection program that gets over-zealous because I've seen so many people swear that they didn't have numerous accounts but they get shutdown. I've seen it on enough boards to make me believe at least some of those people must be telling the truth. The best advice is to cash out as soon as you have enough points built up and don't ever count on the money.

I tried this for several months. I just have the dedication to rack up points. I think I made $10. If I made your amounts, I would try again.
