Does anybody have any character clipart that I could insert into the journal pages for World Showcase that I am working on? I am really new to disigning and I am only playing with Powerpoint at the moment before (hopefully!!!) moving on to something better!!!
I am particularly desperate for clipart for Japan and Norway - any characters would do. Anybody able to share?
Also does anybody kno whether, on powerpoint or paint, you can remove the white backgrounds that sometimes come withe the clipart immage? I have had no success removing backgrounds so far.
Thanks everyone!!!!

These are the ones I used

If you have photoshop, here's how you remove the background:

1. Open the file in photoshop
2. Use the select tool and select the background
3. Go to the select tab at the top and click on inverse
4. Open a new file with the same dimensions and select transparent background
5. Go back to the original file and use the move tool and move the image over to the transparent background
6. Save as a .gif file

Gif files do not support backgrounds, so your image will appear not to have a background.

I'll see about other programs. This is just how I do it in photoshop. It sounds complicated, but it's really not and only takes a second.

Thank you. These are great. I don't have photoshop yet. Just using powerpoint but I appreciate your time to reply.
I will have fun inserting your images into my pages. Thank you.

If you have any specific clips that you want the background removed, just post them and I'll fix them for you.

Which Photoshop are you using? I have 5.0 and can not figure this out at all. I am quite new to the program and am learning slowly but surely.

I did not get vary far with removing the background. I guess I will have to keep playing. I have jasc paint shop pro 8. I followed all the steps but did not get it to work. practice makes perfect and I sure have a lot of practicing to do. :rotfl: Well back to the drawing board.

I have photoshop 7.0. I'm not sure if the steps will be the same or not as I'm pretty new to it myself. There are tutorials you can go to online. When I was learning how to do it, I just put my question in google and a lot of answers appeared, plus sites to tutorials. Sorry I couldn't be more help

I'm not sure if the steps are the same in paint shop pro or not. I'm using photoshop.
