there's no place like home, there's no place like home..........well, you get the picture.

So thinking of home away from home, what things do you daydream about your home resort.

For me its VWL. It is especially at night. The crickets chirping while the background music plays ever so quite. Taking a stroll around the grounds looking at all the little animal paw prints. Admiring the majestic view of the main lodge from the pool. Taking in all the smells of the tall pines surrounding the lodge. And capping the evening off with a relaxing sit by the fireplace in the Iron Spike Room while the kids enjoy a game of checkers.

Just staying at my home resort (SSR) for the first time so I have an idea what to daydream about!

Sitting by the pool at VWL feeling the sun warm my body and soul. Watching the breeze dance through the tall pine trees. The splendor of the WL lobby. Hearing that special WL music as we walk down the walkway between the villas and the Lodge first thing in the morning.. filled with anticipation for the day.

Gosh I can't wait to go back.

Hanging out by the pool with the scary clown slide that my kids love so much. Walking around the BW after dark and getting a pizza from Spoodles and wings from the ESPN club, then walking back to the room and relaxing.

That's mine too! Walking home after Illuminations, I always tell my family to take it slow, especially since we're usually there in the winter and it's so cold here, and so great to walk in the warm air listening to the music and being with my family - it's the best!

Taking the DD and nieces to SAB late afternoon, eating takeout from Beaches & Cream by the pool. Then,if there's time, I run the girls through the shower before we stroll over to catch Illuminations. If we've spent a little too much time in the pool, we may walk over in our coverups.

Such a perfect evening.

Walking into Wilderness Lodge and having my 6yo dd say, "mommy, I miss this place". The feeling you get when you hear the music in the lobby for the first time. Anticipation of the week ahead at the parks and spending time at the pool late at night before bed. I could go on and on......
