Ok purse lovers :)

Do any of you have a clever, unique way to store them? I have many that I interchange so I leave most in a kitchen cupboard, instead of in the closet upstairs, and the couple I use most often on top of that same cupboard. Its sort of tucked away in the kitchen but still looks cluttered to me.

But there must be some other way to store them, to keep them close and handy when I want to change them.

Any ideas?

I would love to hear ideas too. I have so many, and I have started Spring cleaning, and I want to put them somewhere.

I just keep mine in a laundry basket on the floor of my closet. I'd like to get some cute boxes to put them on the closet shelf but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Do you have somewhere that you could put a small tension rod? In a coat closet or even your cabinent or a corner somewhere? Anyways if you have somewhere to hang a tension rod, buy some cheap shower hooks and hang the purses on the rod.

Another option is to get one of the hangy closet organizer things, think the material squares that hang down. You can get a series of those and put th purses in each square.

I bought a Hanging purse holder at Ross for $6 I think. I had them all in our built in closet storage but I like this better.
I think it holds 12.

I have no idea what you are talking about. :rotfl2:

I never hang my bags. They will end up misshaped and all wonky. You know the tissue stuffing that comes with the bag? Save that and when the bag is not in use, stuff it back in to keep the shape. I use the dust-covers IF they happen to have come with the bag.

I have a shelf above my long closet and I keep all of my bags there. Beneath this long shelf, there are four open boxes, and then the clothing rail is beneath this long shelving piece. In the cubby-holes (I guess that is what they are) I layer my flat bags and clutches and wristlet. I WISH I had the time to color coordinate, but that isn't going to happen any time soon.

Anyway, at a glance I can see all of my bags. The ones I change out the most often...well I have a three-bag pile at my closet door's floor and they just sit there unstuffed at the ready.

Since my purses are relatively inexpensive, I keep them under my bed in a stackable wrapping paper box. I have six of those boxes under my bed holding various things.

I am ready to hear answers on this then you told your storage. I should have known with your screen name that you would have more than 12!:rotfl2:

I have around 100 purses and mine are sorted by color then size across 2 upper closet shelves 12 ft long and then additional 4 ft shelves to the floor on one side of the closet. The biggest pain is switching stuff from one purse to another. Any suggeations about that?

Darn mother! She told us everything must match so you never have a brown purse and black shoes or Lord help us, no matching undies and bra!:lmao:
My DH finds my collection of purses more under control than my DSis's shoes. My kids counted once and she had 178 pairs of shoes in shoe boxes with a printed picture on the outside of each box.

I have the same issue! I was using an Ikea towel rack but the other day it broke and my purses were all over the floor of my closet!

My husband could have cared less about my poor purses unitl I told him it was a few thousand $$$ laying on the floor. ;)

Needless to say they are not on the floor anymore and I am seeking an option.

I was going to say the same thing! I love my Ross purse holder. I bought the last one they had. I would have gotten one for my mother if they had more.

I bought a couple of the Ikea floating shelves and installed them in our bedroom. I put my bags on "display" like they do at the department stores. Makes it so much easier to organize and remember what you have.

I also have decorated hat boxes on the shelf for wristlets , scarves/ gloves and of course hats.

I have spent money and time amassing my collection , I figure I would treat them like my shopping trophies. Lol

:-)

Most of them are stuffed into a huge rubbermaid bin on the floor of my closet. My "nice" "expensive" bags (Coach, LeSportsac, Kipling, Kathy Van Zeeland, etc) are on hooks behind my front door (it's in a corner... hard to explain, but my front door is very out of the way, haha).
