Clearwater beach ?

Where would be a good place to stay by Clearwater? We would like to go to the beach the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving; before we go to Disney. If possible the kids 11 and 8 would like to snorkle. Thanks.

4 years ago we stayed at the Econo Lodge ClearWater beach. We had a gulf view room, slept with our balcony opened and woke to the sounds of the gulls in the morning. Went shelling every morning. You can also sometimes see dolphins in the bay also from your room! Next time we make it to Clearwater(if we can ever skip a year flying to Disney), we plan on staying there again!!

We are big fans of the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. We have stayed there the past 2 years.

DH and I have a room booked at Trade Winds Island Grand. They are a Disney add on resort, that is how I found out about them and gonna give them a try.

DW and I are going to St. Pete Beach, which is down the coast in the same county as Clearwater. We are staying at the Plaza Beach Hotel. It is a nice place, ON the beach, and VERY reasonably priced. Unless you have a very strong preference for Clearwater Beach over St Pete Beach, I suggest you consider this excellent property. We have stayed there before, and it is our first choice for Pinellas County. (or Manatee County or Sarasota County)
