Simple question. If you had to choose one or the other, which would it be.... a little explanation why would be nice too.

I know this is not an Orlando Hotel or Attraction, but I didn't know where else to post.

We're not staying there.... we'll be going to one or the other for a day trip.

I chose Clearwater because west coast beaches are a lot nicer than those on the east coast. The only reason I would go to cocoa beach is because it is closer to orlando. Clearwater is almost 2 hours away.

I've been to both, and I voted Clearwater.
Beautiful beaches. We stayed at the Hilton on Mandalay Ave which was a great location. Walking distance to a good restaurants, ice cream, shops, it was on the beach, and the pier with little craft stands and street performers was right across the parking lot. There was also a really nice playground right there.

Cocoa Beach was nice, but I felt like there really wasn't much to to other than the beach. Like at night, after dinner if you wanted to go for a walk and get an ice cream or coffee, there was no where to go. And you can only walk around the Ron Jon surf shop so many times.

I voted for Clearwater. Very nice and clean water. We also stayed at the Hilton and it was very nice. Make sure you make a trip down the street to Post Corner Pizza. Very good and it is a decent price. You won't be disappointed.

Clearwater, Clearwater, Clearwater!!!

Clearwater Has Great Beaches, Beautiful Water, Nice Shops And Great Places To Eat!

Our Favorite Place To Eat Dinner Is A Little South Of Clearwater. It Is Called Salt Rock Grill. It Is One Of The Best Places I Have Ever Eaten At. The Town Is Called Indian Rocks Beach. It Is Well Worth The Drive.

Sits On The Bayside, Has Glass Floor Looking Down Into The Wine Cellar. You Can Watch The Boat Pull Up With Fresh Seafood Right At It's Own Dock. Open Kitchen With Open Wood Grill. Simply Fantastic!!!!!

I have been to Clearwater Beach and it is really great, especially Pier 60 in the evening, when all the stall holders and entertainers are there for the sunsets. Lovely beaches.

I have not been to Cocoa beach, so cannot comment.

We'll be back at Salt Rock Grill in Aug!! Such a great menu. Good wine, good martini's, the olive oil and bread, the food, the ambiance, the location...smashing good. Did I say I liked it?:cutie:

Definitely Clearwater. But don't limit yourself to just Clearwater. There are many great resorts and beaches going south from Clearwater -- Madiera Beach, St. Pete Beach, etc.
