I went online today to check the rental rates and mine dropped $20 for a compact. They were offering the intermediate car for $5 more a day. Here's the situation: I used the MAG code and when I told them I just joined the fastlane program and received free upgrade coupons (2) different agents told me I couldnt use the coupons because I already used the MAG code.
Has anyone else ever used both???The Mag and upgrade???
Also I received (2) $25 certificates from customer service because an agent would not change my rates and told me to be satisfied with what I had and hung up on me. Well I asked if I could apply them to my rental and they said No It's only for future rentals
Makes no sense to me
Any advice

AFAIK, Dollar never lets you combine a promo code with a coupon. It's just the way they operate - no combining of offers.

Can't speak to the certifcate issue - sorry you ran into a bad service rep.

Dollar with just a promo code is often less expensive that National or Alamo, who do let you combine certain codes & coupons. I always check them all.

Best wishes -

I used the MAG code on a compact for our trip 3 weeks ago. I had signed up for fastlane and received an upgrade coupon. When I went to get my rental at the airport I asked if I could use my upgrade coupon and they said no problem. So, we ended up with an intermediate for $149 (taxes included).

Just ask when you pick up your rental car.
