Kamy, This is so funny. It reminds me of a whole comedy routine that Howie Mandel did on the English language. In the words of Eric Cartman," I think Palo's is sweeeet!"
So like, let me tell you about my conversation with my friend, ok? I was like, lets go to Palo's, and he's all, ok cool. So I go, yeah, they have great souffles's there, ya know? And he was all 'sound's good to me. As long as we're all ready on the boat, that would be totally rad'.
So were going there tomorrow night. I called my mom and shes all 'have a good time'. And I go 'its gonna be totally *****in.' Then shes like 'don't eat too much'. and I go 'oh I'm so sure!'
I did not mean to start any debates here! I just wanted to try and put an end to the "Palo" problem....it was driving me bonkers!
As for teenagers, I don't think it is a school problem (I won't get started on anything pertaining to that area), it is just a sign of how things are .....television, movies, music, different areas of the country, family, school, friends.....all of this plays a part in how we communicate....JMHO.
Now, back to really important things....when can I go back to Palo??? LOL!!!!
The sign on my local Outback Steakhouse is also entirely in capital letters -- but that doesn't mean someone should write, "I had dinner a few months ago at the OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE."
As noted earlier in this thread, "capaitalization on signs and logos and capitalization within text are two different things."
It's Palo on DCL's official site, in the DCL brochure, and in the Daily Navigator's.
Love this thread. Here's a pet peeve of mine. It's a moot point, not a mute point. Moot means arguable or debatable, while mute means without sound or speech.
