Clearing customs - MCO back to Canada

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

On our return flight to Canada, we are flying from Orlando - Toronto - Montreal - Moncton.

With those connections I assume we clear customs in Toronto, correct?

I also assume we have to collect our bags in Toronto and then they'll be sent through to our final destination, Moncton?

Yes you will clear Canada Customs once you land in Toronto.

You also need to pick up your checked bags and then re-check them for your next flight.

One note for you about things in Toronto:

If you're flying AC, the signs in Terminal 1 are pretty clear where to go.
If you're flying WJ, the signs in Terminal 3 are not clear. There are signs telling you which way to go if you're connecting to another Canadian flight, but there's smaller signs telling WJ passengers to go a totally different direction. Look for the WJ signs (they're not that big) and follow those instead of the big "Connecting Flights" signs.
