Clearing cookies on a Mac

I am pretty much computer illiterate. I know I can clear the history after each session - how do I clear the cookies? TIA.

I'm new to a Mac, but to clear your cache (is that the same as cookies?) you go up to the Safari tab on the top left of your computer and then select clear cache.

Go up to the Safari tab, select 'Preferences', click 'Security', click 'show cookies', and then select which cookies you want and hit 'remove', or 'remove all' to delete all of them.

Thank you guys. All done. Just wrote it down and will do this often now so I won't forget.

I did not think it was as simple as just clearing history.
