Did you ever get such a good deal on something you wonder if it was a mistake? Yesterday at Target I found a Withings wifi scale that syncs to fitbit marked down from $100 to $29. I had been looking at the Aria ($130) but really couldn't justify the cost. Once I got home I didn't see them marked down anywhere else, and am wondering how did this one get marked down so low! Maybe someone is telling me its time to lose some weight LOL

I find stuff like that occasionally at Target. Usually it is something that they no longer carry and there is just one left, or maybe it had been returned and the box slightely damaged.

Those are such :cool1: surprizes when you find them.

I have had that happen a few times. :thumbsup2 I found that it happened more at the suburban store I go to, then I'd go to a City store within equal distance from my home only to find the same item not even on sale let alone a 75% clearance, just crazy.:confused3
Always on the look out for sale stuff on the end caps. :goodvibes

As a frequent Target clearance shopper, it was probably an online return. They usually send those items right to 70-75% off. Recently, I needed a sleeping bag for my daughter and found just one for $11, down from $40 because it was an online return. Anyway, consider yourself lucky and enjoy!

AT my store, I found an item that was about 60% off, but they had a whole shelf full the same item at regular price. I wanted it and could not find anything visibly wrong so I tool it to customer service to see if they could tell me what was wrong with it before I decided to buy it. The team member told me that the item had been purchased online and returned. Even tho they had the same item not on sale, they automatically mark down an online return to clear it from the store inventory.

I would guess its an online return but sometimes they do clearance out merchandise that just doesn't sell, its on a schedule so it would start at 30%, then 50% then 70%. Nice find, I'd love to get one for that price because I'm too cheap to pay regular price.

At Shopko I picked out a small bottle of sunscreen for DD15 to put in her track bag. It said it was clearanced from $9.99 to $7.99. Still a lot for a small bottle, but it was small and sturdy with a screw on top, not a squishy bottle that could get squashed and spurt all over her stuff. When I checked out it was $.99. I went back and got a second one for DD12's track bag.

I did see that it expires in May, so the price is probably legit, but they will only need it April/May so that works for me.

I got a lawn tool part for 1 cent instead of the normal $10 price at an Ace Hardware once. I bought two! It felt odd to be paying 1 cent for ANYTHING these days, but the manager said sometimes they just clearance things out like that.

it could have been an online return or simply a clearanced item. Did the cashier have to manually adjust the price? If not it was likely simply a clearanced item. Good find!

The best deal that I ever got was at Kohls back in the 90's. I came across a Chicago Bulls jersey that was marked down to 25 CENTS! It was also 1/2 off the clearance price. I ended up paying 12 cents! :cool1:

This was back in the days of Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen so they were very popular. I asked a clerk and she said sometimes people bring back really old merchandise or they find it hiding in the stockroom Their computer system calculated the price based on when it was last sold as a regular item.

DD is 24yo now and still pulls it out every now and then for sports themed days at school (she's a teacher).

I saw a bra at Nordstom Rack last month that was marked $ .01-- the tag said it was 100% off! I was so intrigued by it, like wondering if it was a mistake. Unfortunately, it wasnt quite my size so I couldn't try to buy it!

Very interesting, I don't see them listed online so I'm assuming the scale was just clearanced out. I kind of want to go to the other store close to me and see if they have any...not that I need another one!

On a side note, when I first hooked it up through the wifi it said I weighed 397 lbs! (I need to lose weight but not that much!) So maybe it was a return???

It would say online return on it if it was an online return.

I also go right for the end caps that they put the online returns on in the baby/infant section. I just got an extra camera for our video monitor for $35 minus the 20% coupon I had. Originally price was $70. Picked that up for a friend! I also got a pack of Up&Up pull ups for $2.12 after the cartwheel discount!

As a Pistons Bad Boy fan...I have to say that you VASTLY overpaid for that jersey.:rotfl2:

My dad was in Lowe's about 5 years ago and they had a pallet of rolling tool racks on clearance marked down from $40 to $.05 each, he bought 4, I for himself and 3 for my brothers and I. He still laughs that when they rang him up it was 22 cents with tax, he asked the checker why they were so cheap and was told they needed to clear out the garden center for the Christmas stuff coming in that week. Just in the right place at the right time.

Nothing like finding a great bargain to put a smile on your face.

A couple of years ago I was in Sears and saw an awesome elliptical machine marked on sale with a sale sign for $299.00. It was very sturdy and had a built in fan, built in speakers, automatic adjusting tilt with different exercise programs you can choose from, etc and seemed like it should be worth MUCH more than $299. I asked the person working in that department why it was so cheap, but no one seemed to know. There was only one left in the box, and then the display model. I purchased the last one in the box. When I got home, I looked it up at Sears.com and saw that it was originally priced $1299.00 and was on sale for $299.00 OFF, not $299.00 total price. It was supposed to be $1000.00, not $299.00. Apparently someone messed up in that one store - OOPS! It is still a really nice piece of exercise equipment.

About 8 years ago I walked into Best Buy the first week in Nov. They had a sign saying all remaining A/C's 75% off last price. All they had left were 11,500 btu ones. I asked how much they were now as they was no visible price listed on the sign or on the box. They ran the SKU and the guys says "well they were last $200, so they are now $50. I took two and my dad told me to get two for him. When I got home I noticed on a small sticker that the original price was $375. So I had just paid $200, $210 w tax for $1500 worth of A/C's!!!

But it gets better. Went to pay my electric bill a couple days later and I noticed in the monthly news letter they are offering energy star rebates on certian appliances including A/C's as a $50 per unit discount on your electric bill. So in the end I basically got 4 A/C's for $10 or $2.50 a piece.

well if a scale was adding on enough lbs i would return it too!:rotfl2:

on a side note i got a scale last year that has a nasty habit of lying when you first step on. i have to weigh myself twice, i have no idea why it does that but i just make sure i pay no mind to the first weight. have you tried it again to see what it says?

i also got some really good deals at target last week, lots of 70% and 50% off at my local stores. i found some panties 70% off and my cartwheel worked on three of them to bring them down even more! oh and m&Ms on clearance just because they had footballs on them, for 1.58 each and i had a coupon for 1.50 off two..... omg i suddenly realized i sound like the woman below:lmao:

A few years ago our Target misplaced A LOT of Christmas items. Between that and our store getting a good amount of extra clearance from other stores there was a ton of new product coming out at 90% off.
