I was just wondering how many of you have had your camera cleaned by a professional? If so, where did you take it to be done and how long did it take?

Or did you clean it yourself with some kind of kit?

I clean my D50 myself, and I use the Copper Hills System. First time doing it scared the heck out of me, now I can do it with my eyes closed...not that I do, but I could :)

Same here.......Copper Hills as Furgus mentioned. Once you learn to hold your tongue just right, it's really simple. :cool2:

I did once - NEVER EVER EVER again - it came back to me looking 100x worse then when I sent it in - and they were complete jerks about it. I had to send it off to canon to undo what they had done.

Now I clean it myself - again with the copper hill method and products.

Another with the Copper Hills system. He's got good prices on the supplies and a GREAT tutorial on how to do it.

Sure cleaning the sensor is easy. what about when there is beer in all the little button cracks?

I use copper hills when needed, but that is rare... usually the dry brush method is enough for me.

the only problem is you can't fly with it, so you can use it in emergencies while on vacation.

I noticed two big blotches on my sensor on day two of a 7 day trip!!!!! OK I'm going to use a smiley for that hehehehe :scared1:
