Is there a possibility to clean/wash up your refillable mugs at the foodcourts?
Don't like my soda tasting like coffee for example.
Thanks again:wave2:

Sorry I do not have an answer - but my DH and I were just discussing this last night.

The thought of just rinsing out in the sink everyday, even if you rinse well and try with a little soap still sounds disgusting to me.

I would never use the same mug at home for a week for various beverages with just rinsing it out thoroughly and wiping it out real good.

I said to him you should be able to buy the "mug" to be able to take home and they provide you with some sort of take along or take out or have a place to deposit your mug daily that they put in the dishwasher and you get to pick up a new one...

I have bought the mug in the past and washed it out really well a few times, but then others I would forget and go to the park all day and leave my coffee with milk sitting in it, etc.

Maybe you are allowed to trade them in and I never bothered to ask.

Good question.

Get a small bottle of dish soap in the samples area of your local pharmacy or grocery and take that with you. Then use it and a face cloth to wash out your mug daily in your room.

You could try filling it with hot water for tea, swishing it around a little and pouring the water out. Other than that there isn't a sink in the food courts. I just used some liquid soap brought from home to clean DD's sippy cup and cleaned our mugs in the room after using. You can get the sink water really hot.

There is a sink at the AS Sports food court to rinse your mugs in.

I suggest bringing the palmolive dish wipes (very handy) to clean them with, as this is not any soap for washing your mugs out.

Don't think they sell Palmolive dishwipes here in the Netherlands, but now I know I have to bring my own dish soap from home.
Thanks again for all the quick answers.
But isn't strange WDW doesn't have a way to clean your refillable mugs, they sell those things...

I guess they figure people will just wash them in their rooms. We used the area in the All Star Sports foodcourt to rinse our mugs out. However, we did the washing in the room.

Yup, that's exactly what I do!

I bring a small bottle of dish soap & wash them in our room. The resorts I've stayed at (CR & WL) have no place to wash them in the food court.

I use mine alot at home for coffee (great for bringing to work). To get the coffee stains out, I soak them in Oxiclean. Works like a charm! Gets all those old coffee stains out.

The Palmolive dish wipes are a Wonderful idea!!! I haven't used them yet but I will buy them for our upcoming trip to the Poly. In the past we have brought a small bottle of dishwahing detergent from home and a sponge and washed them in our room. I especially like the sponges that start out flat and when you put them in water they expand. At the end of the vacation just toss them. Don't know where you can buy them we got a couple in the mail and used them on trips. Thanks for the GREAT tip about the dish wipes!

I just saw Palmolive Dish Wipes at Walmart yesterday. Hopefully you can find some in your area. Great idea, I will have to go back and pick some up for our trip in April.
Thanks for the great idea.

When we stayed at AKL, my son was only one so we had a bottle brush and Palmolive to wash them out in the room. Although there was a sink at the food court to rinse, I would bring something next time to wash in the room also. We only bought 2 mugs but may buy more next time (1 for coffee 1 for soda ). WE still use our mugs a lot 8 months later! I think the price is great to use and also take home.

Those wipes are huge and loaded with soap! Bring some scissors and cut 'em up. It'll save some $$. Just remember to pack those scissors in your checked luggage!

O.K. you guys, talking about Palmolive wipes, and bottles of dish soap, and sponges, you're making me feel like a terrible mom and wife!! On our last trip, when we stayed at CBR, after DH and I finished our coffee at breakfast, I ran into the bathroom, took some hand towels, covered them with the hand soap, washed everyone's mug out (the girls mugs too), dried them, then filled them with pop for the gang (ice tea for me!). I rinsed them well enough that there was no lingering coffee smell in our mugs. Of course, I was "wasting" the paper towels in the bathroom (we always left for a park right after breakfast, so there was no going back to the room), but I never thought it was a bad thing. I'm a bad mom!:guilty:

When back at home, dont put them in the dishwasher or they will fade. IF you wash them by hand they will last a long time. A nice long lasting memory.

Of course not, but I may be. I didn't even bother to wash the mug out before heading to the bus stop.:earseek:

We used our mugs for hot cocoa, rinsed them, put in soda, then ran out to catch the bus.

Well I'm glad you guys are fessing up. That's all we ever did with our mugs. Rinse and go. I never thought anything about it. We each had our own, it's not like we're sharing. Even if we were, it's just us. I'm sorry, I never thought it was a big deal.

Ofcourse it's not a big deal.
But I really find it disgusting when my tea tastes like coffee.
I thought they would provide a sink and dishwashing detergent at the foodcourts, but obviously they don't.
Oh DisneyObsessed I have noticed that you allways go in february, have I picked a really good month to travel?
I will be there in about two weeks:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Fromeurope, we have had all different kinds of weather in February. We go at that time to get away from this terrible New England winter weather<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_3_3.gif' border=0></a> We have had days in the high 70s and low 80s, and we have had overcast, breezy and in the 60s. Last year was the chilliest. Here's hoping for warm, warm sunshine.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_6_13.gif' border=0></a>
