We have hard water and mineral deposits build up on the shower heads. What is the best way the clean these? I though I had read somewhere about a 'home' recipe with vinegar maybe?
If you can't remove the shower head (I wouldn't unless you're going to replace it) then take a zip lock bag and put a some vinegar in the bag. Then slip bag onto the shower head so the head gets partially immersed in the vinegar. Tie the bag to the pipe above the shower head so it stays on. Leave for an hour and then remove the bag (carefully). If there is still some deposits on the shower head, repeat the process (reuse the same bag and vinegar for another hour).

I remember reading about the vinegar trick, I was going to use it. I was in the shower stall cleaning, and I used the magic eraser on it, it worked like a charm. Less messy than vinegar and very effective for me.
