Cleaning question

We are staying at AKV in December for a family trip. We have a 2bdrm for DH & I, Sister, BIL, and our soon to be named child. Baby will be about 4 months when we visit. I know that Mouskeeping only takes out the garbage on the 4th night (we are only staying 3 nights). I really don't want stinky diapers in the villa for that long. Is there anywhere where we can take the garbage to each day? Or how much does it cost for them to take the trash out each day? Any advice is appricated! Thanks!!!!

Every DVC resort has places to toss your trash yourself - there are receptacles if you ask a CM to let you know where they are. (I've found a lot of members who just leave their trash in the hallways - and had they walked a few feet more they would have reached the trash bin.)

All resorts have a trash rooms. They are usually by the ice machine room. We take our trash out of the room on our way to the parks each day.

OKW has trash cans in front og every building which get emptied every day, so we put in our daily trash bags there. The Cm's say that if it doesn't fit in the can leave by the side or behind and it will get picked up. (Pizza boxes etc.) I'm sure most resorts have similar types of accomodations.

Another idea that worked for us was to take the refill for a diaper genie along and use it. We took the older model type refill with us on an April trip. You can twist a bunch or tie knots for each diaper and it helps a bit. Hope that helps some

Good idea, except we don't have a diaper genie I did get a lot of diaper sacks from babiesrus. We could use those instead and just throw everything out everytime we leave the room.

don't worry - they were several trash areas - no ice - you need to walk to the 4th floor for ice.

but trash - yes - several - on the standard floor (pool) they were close to the elevators.

don't remember on the value side (didn't really need it)

so you can definitely take the trash out every day - probably several times a day.
