Cleaning House - Facebook Unfriending

Several months ago I quit playing Farmville. I had several people from the DIS that I was friends with only because of Farmville. Lately, I've been getting A LOT of posts on my wall regarding Farmville. So, today I went through and deleted who I thought were Farmville friends. Of course, sometimes I don't connect user names with their real names. So, if I deleted you and we're DIS friends, please request to be my friend again with your user name. Then I'll know for sure who you are

You can also click and hide any Farmville, games requests, posts that you get. It's made my wall a WHOLE lot easier to read. Just click over towards the right edge of the post and it will give you the option of hiding updates from a particular game or person.

Thanks! I've done that, too. But there are a lot of people that I friended only for the purpose of Farmville. While I'm up for making new friends, that is the only way I know them, and we never really talk.

i went cold turkey about a half year ago i think....i completely deleted all games from my facebook....i was totally addicted...
withdrawal was difficult, but i survived

Rather than block the people, just block the Farmville. It is easy to do and heaven for those of us who don't want a Bonus Shovel or whatever.

...unless your object is actually to block the people and not the Farmville, in which case I'm not sure how, but it should be easy enough to do.

I play Bingo, it's a solitary game - I don't have to ask people for things

For a few minutes, I did a question about people game, then was totally embarassed when my daughter said she thought some 10 year old had hijacked my account

I still occassionally facebook but dropped all games as I found them killers of time
