We were just curious what everyones cleaning routine was when you go to WDW, do you get up every morning and straighten up your camper or after going to WDW in the evening clean up some or not at all ? We just got back from the beach and I felt like I spent the whole week cleaning up after everyone. I want to figure out some routine so when we are at disney I don't get so tired and can really enjoy it, what your secrets ?

Okay maybe it's just me with this attitude but Hey it's your vacation too! :wave2: I say get everyone to pitch-in the after breakfast. Because if you wait until the evening you and everyone else will be too tired. If you say okay everyone lets clean-up and we'll head to the parks...I bet you'll be cleaned up and ready go in no time. Any kid over 3 years can do some sort of chore. If you do a little everyday it won't be that much the following days. Give yourself a break too...Do vacation cleaning (which is basically as little as possible) not the kind you do when you are at home. :laundy:

I agree about the vacation cleaning! We use lots of paper plates and cups so there isn't much dish washing to do. I do laundry a couple of times a week. It's just my husband and myself (and we spend so much time in the parks), so it doesn't really get that dirty. Make it easier on yourself and make sure the whole family knows that it's your vacation too! :goodvibes

I know it is my vacation too, but honestly, I would go bonkers if I let the stuff accumulate around the camper for a couple of weeks. With that said, we have a system wherein we (my oldest daughter and I) kick everyone out of the trailer in the morning for 20 minutes. I don't care if they go over to the showers, walk the dogs or just sit outside the camper door, but we have found that in 20 minutes we can have dishes done, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms (we have 2) and straightening. Works for us. It just makes me really happy to come home at the end of the day to a clean RV.

We try to throw everything in the direction of where it belongs when we take it off. We have hooks on the walls for hats and lanyards, a big hamper for dirty clothes, and we mop the floor whenever someone spills something or steps in the dog's water :rotfl: Other than that, we just don't worry about it too much!!

We have not camped at WDW (read daddy doesn't camp) that would be me LOL. We always stay in our DVC villa we are usually in a 1 bedroom and we do the same cleaning there that we would at home. We get up in the morning make all the beds get breakfast made and then do the dishes and put them away get the floor swept and vaccuumed and tidy off the counter and then shower and head out. We do our laundry every other day and fold it and put it away. We travel with our 3 kids and we can create quite a mess LOL.

Do you happen to have a link that shows the lay-out of your camper, I've never seen one with two bathrooms and I would love to see how it's layed out. Sorry I know that's off topic but that caught my attention.

We do about the same thing as Campincorgi - try to put things where they go as soon as we get back from the parks each day. Use paper when we eat in the MH - mostly eat out at the parks - . I have learned that everything does not have to be in its propper place all the time. I am usually a neat freak - but while at Disney - enjoy my vacation. :cheer2:

To answer the question about the floor plan of our RV, I'm not sure if they make it any longer, but it is a Dutchman 36' Fifth Wheel. There is the standard bedroom and bathroom up at the very front and then at the very back there is another bedroom that has 2 bunks, 2 closets and a bathroom (no shower, though). The rest is pretty standard ..... a slide-out, bar w/barstools and the usual. Regardless, it works great for us as we travel with lots of "girl children"!

My DH and I are crazy about cleaning... the rest of my family is not. We find that we are constantly cleaning and organizing. I hate clutter and clutter can happen very quickly in an rv.

ok this works well husband does nascar racers with his buddies so he no's how to clean and do dishes problem solved. biggest thing at fw is sand had to clean twice a day not a big problem.we cleaned real good before we left fw so when we got home we are ready to use rv without a lot of work if you do a little every day it's easy to keep clean even with 4 grand kids.washed clothes in small loads every few days instead of spending hours doing big loads and didn't have to do cloths when we got home.just keep things simple and enjoy.
