Hi everyone~
Does any body know where I can find the classic Disney cartoons that used to be on the Disney channel? This might not be the correct location to post this, but I love those cartoons and want to be able to share them with my young son. Would love to get a DVD if they are sold anywhere.

Thank you & I love this site!!! :)

If you mean the ones produced in the 1920s, 30s, 40s, etc., then look for the "Walt Disney Treasures Collection." They have Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Silly Symphonies, and more on DVD. They're packaged in tin boxes for that 'collector' look I guess. ;) But they're quite good! Some are out of print, though.

I suggest those cartoon collections as well. There area also DVDs at Target and Wal-Mart (probably Best Buy, too) that are themed to one character. For example, I have a Donald Duck DVD that has a few of his cartoons on it. They're the cartoons that were on Donald Duck Presents when I was younger.

You mean the original hand drawn animated Disney cartoons. I love these and got some from Ebay and I saw them at Best Buy too.

If you search on Ebay for Disney DVD Cartoon classics (Mickey,Donald,Goofy,Chip&Dale, etc). There's like 12 volumes. Retail price is from $9.99-$14.99 with about 4-6 episodes (cartoons) per DVD. There's also DVD's of other Disney cartoons titled Disney Timeless Tales (I think there's 3 or 4 volumes of this) with cartoons of The Ugly Duckling, Casey at Bat, etc. They also have DVD's titled Disney's It's a Small World of Fun which has cartoons like Ferdinand the Bull, etc.

Along with the tin Timeless DVD's that another poster said.

without sounding dumb,
I thoug you could rent them from that online dvd service

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'm going to go look for them this weekend. My son loves watching Mickey & the gang on the Disney Channel, but I miss the old cartoons. Hope everyone has a great Monday :)
