I have been googling around because we are thinking about renting an RV (and maybe taking the plunge to buy one next year!) for our April 2016 Fort trip. All I can find is travel trailer and fifth wheel rentals, and we'd really like to rent a class C because that's probably what we will buy. Any tips or thoughts? Thanks!
Cruise America rents Class C RV's. And they even have a location in Kissimmee.

I have seen several of their Class C's at the Fort in the past. Some people knock them because the rental vehicles sometimes don't look brand new, aren't luxurious (just basic), and the pricing is a la carte (fee for sheets, fee for pots/pans, etc.). But in your case, it's a good way to try-before-you-buy.
Here is a pic I took of one at the Fort in 1400 loop on our 2012 trip:
They have other locations in Florida in case Kissimmee doesn't have availability - just watch the mileage because that's a fee too (although you can prepay for a mileage package if you want to take it to other parts of Florida).
Oh, and the one thing I remember is the Kissimmee location used to not be open for drops/picks on Sunday. So check make sure your location is open when you want to drop or pick up.
I also saw this Camping World rental unit at the Fort. Here was one in the same loop same time as the CA one above. Don't know as much about their program or locations.

PS - Never seen a place that rents Class B's (my uncle has one). They have their niche in the marketplace but they are expensive...
PPS - CruiseAmerica also sells their used RV's. We had a poster a few years ago who bought a used CA Class C and refurbed it inside and was happy with it.
