Clarification re: Prez Day crowds

Could someone please help clarify: In 2008, Presidents' Day is Monday, February 18. Is it the week prior to that that is crowded? Or is it the week that includes the 18th?

I was there this past President's Day weekend. I arrived February 15 and left on President's Day, February 19th. It was crowded the whole time I was there. Friends went down February 14 and said it was not crowded that day. I hope this helps you.

My DSis and DNiece always go President's Week and it's always crowded. But
it must not be too bad or they'd stop going at that time. I think if you plan and

most people say it starts to get busy around the friday before, but the crowds will run the week of FEB 18 even into the days after that week, ie. feb 26, 27

I would say that both will be crowded. The week that includes Prez. Monday more so than the week leading up to it. All the schools that I know in my area have off Friday and Monday that weekend. Not sure about other areas/states.

We were there this past February 18 to the 24th. In MA, schools are off that week for our winter break. The parks seemed very crowded, also due to it being Mardi Gras (I think half the state of LA were there!!!!) and also the Daytona 500 all at the same time. Mardi Gras is earlier in 2008, but lots of schools in the northeast have the week of President's Day off.
