On the cruise primer, Pete mentioned that two people sharing a room that are not related could not have separate charge accounts. Can you please confirm this?

I always understood that each person could use their own credit card for their personal account. It's also odd as we each entered our own credit cards when we did the online check-in.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I was told that each roommate could set up separate charging on the cruise line, which is why you could enter separate credit card information per passenger on the Cruise check-in documentation. I think they had the info confused with resorts, as You cannot set up separate charging on a KTWC at the Disney owned resorts on property.

I know for a fact you can have 2 charges in one room - Shelly and I did not use the same charge card on PCC 1.0. We just did online check in. :3dglasses

Well crap on that, I was planning on charging all my incidentals to my roommate. :rotfl2:

From an email from Disney Cruise Line:

You can either choose separate credit cards when you complete the
Payment Authorization Form under My Online Check-In via our website,
www.disneycruise.com, or once onboard, you can visit Guest Services,
Deck 3, Midship, to set up separate shipboard accounts for roommates.

Also, if you choose to pay Cash for your incidental charges on your online check-in - they give you a $200 on-board spending credit limit.

"Your on-board credit limit has been established at $200. You may place cash on your account any time during the cruise by visiting the Guest Services Desk on Deck 3 Midship. "

Cash? Cash?!! :confused3
Do people still use cash? :lmao:
Just being silly. I think it is fine if people use cash! :thumbsup2

Hey I will take any cash that you all want to unload. It is a pain to have it on you and have to watch over it... so just unload it to me :lmao::laughing:

I was specifically referring to doing this at check-in at the terminal. It can be done in advance using online check-in.

I just had a client return from a DCL cruise where they were not allowed to use different credit cards at the port for the same stateroom.

I then called DCL to inquire about this as I was always under the impression it could be done - and was told no, they could not do this at the port.

It could have been a problem just with that client and with the info provided by Disney Cruise Line - wouldn't be the first time.

If you want to ensure the use of seperate credit cards I would make sure you do the online check-in just to be safe.
