Clarification needed re: Birthday fastpass

I will be going solo to DL for a few days around my birthday.

I understand there are two categories (Donald and Daisy) and that I would receive FP for up to 5 people in my party but for how many rides within each category?

Since I am one person, how would the Fastpass option work?
Do I get one fastpass from the Donald category and one Fastpass from the Daisy category?

Why would you want to get the fastpass instead of the gift card? As a solo traveler you could easily take advantage of the single rider lines offered on many of the larger attractions (Splash, Indy, Screamin, TSMM, Soarin, and a couple others) and just collect your own FPs for the ones that don't offer the single rider option.

Just a suggestion.

You get 2 rides from each group. I don't think 4 FPs are worth $69. IMHO.

I will be getting the funcard, however, I wanted to make sure I understood the FP offer completely. If I would be receiving multiple FP for the big rides, I might have considered it. I hate waiting in line and don't normally go during the summer months to avoid them.

Sadly, Splash no longer has the single rider line.
