I watched the holiday special on the food network that was done at WDW. Cape May was one of the restaurants highlighted. The clam bake looked great and I have made an ADR there for our Feb. trip. Has anybody eaten there recently ?....I would love a review.

We ate there in September and really enjoyed it. My only complaint would be the flow of the buffet lines were a bit congested. The buffet is set up in a big square, so basically 4 sides of different items. One side was the clam bake section (longest line!) where they have steamers and mussles and clam alfredo and corn on the cob. They serve 2 different "sauce" options for the clams and mussels, tomato based and butter. I had the butter and the seafood was very good. Tasted fresh and there was always enough to go around. You didn't really have to wait for more to be brought out like in some buffet places. They have 2 or 3 soups, one being the seafood chowder that was so packed with seafood. It was excellent. A meal in itself. Another side was salads, green and macoroni and veggies. (didn't spend a lot of time there) 3rd side was a carving station and kids buffet area. (kids section had hot dogs!) The meat was just ok, could have been better but still pretty good. The last side was HOT food items. Pasta and beef stew (I didn't like that at all) and potatoes. Mashed and boiled I think.
The desserts here are all by themselves in a corner area. There were many options and they were all very very good! Cookies and pastries and chocolate covered oreos. Key lime pie, cheesecake. It was massive!

We really enjoyed the dinner here and for the price it was a good deal. Save room for dessert!!

We used to love the Clam Bake but the last 2 times we went we have been very disappointed in the quality of the food. Most of it was very cold and dried out and we went at the first seating!

We love the breakfast there tho

We're going next week!!

I'm not big into seafood, but dh is, I thought it would be a nice choice since they have the meat carving station...

I'll take my camera and try and post in the review section!!

1) We ate there once.
2) Once was enough.
3) Highly disappointing.

We ate there in September and thought it was good, but not great. If you like seafood, then you'll probably like it very much.

ETA: But we all LOVED the desserts. You must try the Oreo bon bons!

I eat there almost three times a year (every trip). It is fabulous in my opinion. Every now and then I think I should try something new, but then my mouth starts to water just thinking about that great food. It is my FAVORITE buffet. I much prefer it to Boma and Crystal Palace. The food lines are oddly set up and some sections do get congested. However the confusion is well worth it. And the desserts OMG to die for!!!!

Hi
We ate there in August and just ate there again in December. We thought it was really good. I don't eat any meat or the clams and still found plenty to eat. My DH liked the clams (they were really little), but he said they were good. Also, the pasta dish was delicious. Much better in Dec. than the pasta dish I had in August. The mashed potatoes were great and loved the salads.
The oreo bon bons are one of the best desserts. Overall, I would give it a try. Everyones tastes are different. I didn't care for Boma, which is supposed to be good for vegetarians, and I know people rave about it on here. Have a great trip!!

We just ate there for breakfast and dinner on our Christmas trip. FANTASTIC. They had the best eggs I have had anywhere in Disney (well, except for the truffled egg at Victoria and alberts-to die for!) Anyway, they were so good. They had a big selection too. They even had a yogurt bar with granola, etc. I liked that.
We had been there for dinner before so we knew how great it was. One of the things I like best on their buffet at dinner is the salads. Sounds odd, but I really like most of the salads up there! the seafood is good and they also have a great selection of traditional foods like ribs/green beans/mashed potatoes, etc. for the non seafood lover.
My only suggestion is to not get the 5:30 seating. That is right when they are opening and both times we have been there at that time, the line has been long and the buffet line is even longer. We actually booked this time at 6:00 and it was ok. It allowed everyone to get through the line and get over the initial excitement of going to a buffet.
Oh, and teh character interaction at breakfast was great. They aren't super crowded so it gave them an oporunity to spend more time at our table if we wanted it.
